The “Liberal” Media Is So Stupid

ABC seriously attacked President Obama for talking about executive pay because of the luxuries in his life. Of course, one group of people are CEOs with a hand out to the government, while the other is…

PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

Liberal media strikes again.

ABC employs John Stossel so this is par for the mouth-breather course

I’m seeing a lot of complaints about criticism of the President, simply because he’s the President.

It’s kind of a new thing here… about two weeks old, I’d say.

Clearly, dissent is no longer patriotic. It’s divisive!

    Next week, it’ll be RAAAAAAAAAACIST!

Watching Oliver trip over his own standards is fun!

That’s right. Critique Obama and you’ll be sent to the Gulag. Oh wait a minute.
      Shut. The. Hell. Up.

If someone makes a decent critique of Obama, that’s fine, but you cons are obsessed with supporting the stupidest things possible.

Steno, Oliver never said or implied that Obama should NEVER be criticized because he is President just because he’s president.. He’s saying that Obama’s status as president should be taken into consideration in the context of THIS SPECIFIC CRITICISM LEVELED AT HIM BY ABC.

You guys are so eager to start dropping your canned lines you’re not even bothering to read anything anymore are you?

  5. Parthenon says:

This is not a bad idea. Other countries limit executive pay (tying it to the lowest paid employees) and they have not imploded.

ABC’s critique is well explained by Alterman in ‘What Liberal Media’ – cons have so thoroughly and ruthlessly worked the refs to the point that the media have to bend over backwards to appear non-liberally biased, occasionally against all reason.

“What the hell has Hoover got to do with it? Besides, I had a better year than he did.”

    * Anecdote of Babe Ruth’s response on being asked how he felt holding out for a salary higher than that of the US President, (variously reported as having been in 1929 or 1930) as quoted in Baseball: A History of America’s Game (2002) by Benjamin G. Rader, p. 134

“We won. Besides, I had a better year than they did.”
    * Anecdote of Barack Obama’s response on being criticized for having a driver like the multi-billionaire greedheads begging for bailouts from the Government headed by Mr. Obama as entirely made up in my imagination, p. 2008

Exactly. Obama needs a private plane, because he’s the president and it would be a security nightmare for him to travel coach.

Good god. Why do we need to explain this?

  8. Duros62 says:

Related: one of my favorite Tom Tomorrow strips.

That guy in the second panel?

    Dr. Pedro.

    Heh. Indeed.

  10. fafaroo says:

Mawado, now that’s some quality snark! I learn stuff and i laugh!

  11. Zython says:

That guy in the second panel?

    Dr. Pedro.

Whatever happened to that guy, anyhow?
