    Lest we forget, Ann Coulter batted “clean-up” at CPAC in — was it 2006?

    The person who introduced her with effusive praise, calling her a great leader of the Republican party?

    Mitt Romney.

    For years Republicans played a little game where, while secretly worshiping Rush and Coulter, they could easily side-step the inherent bigotry and racism of them both by saying “Oh, they’re just comedians!”

    The Republican party is now being led by comedians. Good times.

    If Sarah Palin is this popular with the Republicans in 2012, they might as well concede the White House right now.

    It’s not that she’s stupid, or inexperienced in national politics. It’s that she doesn’t care. She thinks she’s fit for the presidency right now, and that’s scary.
