I wasn’t suggesting anyone had misrepresented him. I was pointing out that was a course Frank hadn’t taken, that he wasn’t making that claim as an excuse. You’d think that might make you more interested in making sure you understood what others have said.

Then explain how Norm Coleman’s wife getting money illegally funneled to her by one on Norm Coleman’s donors isn’t connected to Norm Coleman.

If that is what had happened then it would be. But, again, that wasn’t what the original article had said. The suits allege Kazeminy tried to funnel money to the company at which Coleman’s wife works. Nothing in the article said money was going directly to Coleman. “Neither lawsuit alleges the money actually made it to Coleman or that the Colemans knew about the alleged plan.”

Misrepresent his position?

Here’s what he wrote:

He made no mention of disagreeing with Obama because Obama was too liberal. There wasn’t even a hint of that restriction in his original claim. But we are to blame for misrepresenting what he said?

No it wouldn’t. If a strong stock market meant a strong economy, then the government could simply take that $800 billion, and buy the stocks themselves. That would boost the stock markets a whole lot faster, but it would have no effect on the real economy.

Do you know how much money needs to be spent just on basic maintenance, maintenance that has been neglected for years? And this would have the added benefit of helping the economy for years to come, because infrastructure is needed to ship goods, get people to work, etc., while these are long-term, high paying jobs.
