The views on this site are mine and mine alone, they do not reflect the views of my employer, Media Matters for America
He’s making progress. At least he’ll “wait and see” before deciding if Obama is “posturing for the media” or “caving to the republicans”. Of course, he always supported Obama, he just feels the need to keep his feet to the fire, or something. BTD is as obtuse and obstinate as anyone in the blogosphere (his political stuff is just a daily affirmation of his preconceptions), it may be part of being a good lawyer, but he treats every discussion as if he’s in a courtroom. He’s as unable to listen or admit error (even when it’s ridiculously obvious) as anyone I’ve ever seen. I post on the left and right and he’s the only blogger ever to threaten me with banning (for not showing proper respect).
Threatened? He’s already banned me. He is full of himself and not even right more than half of the time. It’s a shame because I used to love TalkLeft.
Armando who wrote for dailykos a few years ago? He’s why I quit reading kos.
Well, I’m pretty respectful to my hosts, even when I think they’re being morons. I was nearly banned for accusing him of slinging mud at TPM, when he was slinging mud at TPM (he’d accused them of attacking Norm Coleman for utilizing his legal challenges, but the TPM article was fact-based and neutral in tone). BTD will stomach no disagreement.
This is just so weird and delicious at the same time. Armando was the one who told me (over at Daily Kos) back in 2004 that Obama was a “rock star” who was too popular to be smeared (at the time, I guess). He was gone from DK before he had a chance to “boycott” the site over it’s “gushing” of our eventual 44th President.
Ah, memories.
And yes, the only dissent this guy likes is his own. Disagree with him at your own risk.
