The conservative movement continues to cement its place as a last refuge for wealthy white men from the south as Fox fearmongers about the possibility of Muslims… living in your neighborhood! What next, a black president?

    Somebody told me that if this goes through and we put 200 people into this system, that it will shut down our justice system.

    Is the US Justice system in such bad shape that 200 more people would just sut it down? Really?

    As is so frequently the case, The Daily Show got this exactly right last night.

    You’re not going to see Gitmo inmates walking the streets of your neighborhood and behind the counter at the local Dairy Queen.

    Given the percent of our population behind bars, America is better at locking people up than any any other nation. We’ve kept multiple murderers, serial killers, brutal rapists and brain eaters safely behind bars for years.

    Seriously, why don’t the Dems jump all over this? The Repubs are giving them plenty of material to use. The Dems should use it to show how the Repubs are either idiots or liars. Make the public perception of the Repubs “Oh, yeah. Them. They’re all a bunch of liars who just want to scare us. Did you here the crap they said last night?”
