Guess Oliver missed the part of Obama’s speech about “putting away childish things”.

  2. Joaquin says:

    Time to move on, Oliver.

  3. matt621 says:

    Move On, you say?

It is to laugh – that is sooooo Clinton era. At least until Obama’s next first mistake.

As for putting away childish things – I won’t be holding my breath.

If it’s not juvenile political humor and 3rd grade name-calling around here, or juvenile political hero-slobbering, it’s juvenile sexual fantasies, pro football whining and comic books.

This place is just a garden of adulthood.

Meh, that was an OK sentence, I guess. This would have been superior and far more accurate:

…by former President George W. Bush, the worst fucking President in the history of presidents; fucking horrible he was; and here’s the kicker: he was only a figurehead, an Acting President, Cheney and Rove ran the (disastrous) show, as everyone, even disingenuous jackholes like SaveFarris and matt621 know, whether they admit it or not; holy fucking shit are the U.S and rest of the world vastly better off without that evil peckerhead administration.

Kinda run-on, but overall a better sentence, IMHO.

That is the best phrase ever. I literally cannot say it without grinning from ear to ear. Fuck the little whining bitches, the worst and most damaging administration in global history is gone, and I for one am happy.

Ah the wingnut head ‘splodin with the destructive power of an AP mine. No surprise they’re all duds.

  11. Parthenon says:

Wow. Can’t believe it’s over. Talked to a Korean guy on the bus the other day, who seemed just as happy about it as any of us.

  12. Dkelsmith says:

The American public can be fickle sometimes, so President Obama needs to be very careful with this one. If in pulling out, we see an upurge of Sunni violence we can exect the response from the Shia majority to be swift and calculating, unlike what they have done in joint operations with Americans taking the lead, or eyeing closely from parallel or supporting unit activities.

Lastly, if the “legacy” of Iraq is one that is bitter, people may tend to say that it is due to the fact of when and how we pulled out instead of the impetus for going, and the plan or lack of planning in regard to post invasion reconstruction.

    Parthenon – That’s cool, but was he M E L L O W ?

I’ll confess, I don’t really know what you mean.

Only really stupid people though, and who cares what they think? That attitude is SO Vietnam. Hasn’t it been discredited yet?
