I’m sure we’ll be hearing soon about how nobody went to the Obama inauguration… or something. You know, the same way they tried to claim that nobody would show up in Denver or that the attendees were not energized.

It’s entirely possible that fewer people than expected will show up.I was considering going, but then I assumed you wouldn’t be able to get a room, the place would be packed, and security would be so tight it’d be a massive pain in the ass. IOW, no one’s going becuase they assume it’ll be too crowded.
I think the crowd will be humongous. All the big gatherings for the BO have had overflow crowds. So many examples: Portland OR back in May, Denver at the DNC, Manassas right before the election, Philadelphia, Germany. I don’t think people are going to stay away due to the crowds, they’ll flock together to experience the sheer historical significance together. That and the wonderful feeling they’ll get as we have a chance to finally get some government back.
Conservatives won’t deny the place was packed. They’ll say they all came to see Springsteen and T.I.
Just goes to show, conservatives are bad at math.
The conservatives are right. I won’t be going to the inauguration.
Mind you, it’s along way from Vancouver Island. Any chance we get it moved to Seattle so I could pop down?
Remember – if millions show, it’s like a Mao or Hitler rally. If only thousands show, ‘The One’ (yuk yuk) isn’t as popular as the eeeeevil media portrays. Either way, there’s a spin.
“Nobody goes there any more; it’s too crowded.”
I’m willing to bet that in a few years, the number of people who will claim to have attended will reach the current projections, and continue to rise as time passes until it seems that half the nation went to DC. It’s the “French Resistance” or “Woodstock” phenomenon.
J.
I’m willing to bet that in a few years, the number of people who will claim to have attended will reach the current projections, and continue to rise as time passes until it seems that half the nation went to DC.
We’ve already seen phenomenon in the other direction: Fewer and fewer percentages of people admit to having voted for George Bush, Junior. Those numbers should continue to fall.
Limbaugh (Yes! I listen to him!) was carrying on about this on Friday.
Let the nutters take their comfort where they can. Only a million show up for the inauguration instead of 5 million? Fine. Obama is still the president. Deal with it, losers!
And I’m willing to bet that in a few weeks, no matter how many people actually show up, you’ll be posting obviously wrong numbers as if they were true.
“Limbaugh (Yes! I listen to him!)…”
Q.I.A.B., I have lost an enormous amount of respect for you over this admission (kidding, kidding).
I can’t believe people are actually putting any significance in something like this…
I guess it’s a variant of the Obama birth certificate thing. I’ve long subscribed to the theory that Obama won’t release it not because it’ll show he wasn’t born in the US, but as long as he keeps it out of sight, it keeps the nuts obsessing over that and not other, more substantive criticisms of Obama. It’s a useful distraction — kind of like this whole “how many will show up for the inauguration?” game.
It’s a frickin’ weekday in frickin’ January in frickin’ DC. It generally isn’t as nasty as it is here in New England, but it seems DC is simply not capable of dealing with that kind of weather. A lot of people got all caught up and captivated with the notion of attending, and now reality’s setting in. It’s gonna be cold, it’s gonna be crowded, and — let’s be honest — much of DC is a pit. On the other hand, it’s gonna be on every frickin’ TV channel (rumor has it the Food Network, HBO, and at least one of the pay-per-view porn channels will be airing it).
And in the long term, it all means nothing.
J.
And in the long term, it all means nothing.
Yeah, the first black president gets sworn in all the time. And where do you get off calling D.C. a pit? It’s got bad parts like every major city, but we’ve got a world-class capital that has far more to it than many other ballyhooed cities and regions (South Florida, I’m talkng to you).
Yeah, he’ll get inaugurated a week from Tuesday. But (I hope) the symbolism of that event will soon be overshadowed by his actual accomplishments, and we can get past this silly “first” crap. (First black man nominated, first black man to win, first black man to be officially chosen by the Electoral College, first black man to be inaugurated, etc., etc.)
And last summer I walked much of DC. In the 500 block of K Street NW, I spotted a sign on a telephone pole that looked like a “lost pet” flyer. On closer examination, it turned out to be a “Joe was murdered on this spot last week” notice.
I’ll stand by my stating that much of DC is a pit. Hell, you work there, but do you live in DC? Would you live in DC?
J.
A lot of people died to make that “silly” stuff happen. (Man, I don’t know how blacks aren’t running like crazy to be Republicans with that sort of thought on display)
Like I said, there are bad parts of DC like anywhere else, but it’s got world class arts, culture, shopping, and history. I would live in some parts of DC – like millions of others do (I live in Maryland partially because I love MD and also because I couldn’t afford to live in DC and I’m most comfortable in suburbia, which is what MD largely is). You’re expressing the common outside view that DC is a bunch of federal buildings surrounded by gangsters. That just isn’t so. You’ve got the historical part, the suburban part, the hood, the business area, etc.
Even though I’m a homer for Maryland, I’ll defend D.C. especially compared to some cities right here in Maryland.
“I’ve long subscribed to the theory that Obama won’t release it not because it’ll show he wasn’t born in the US”
And here in a nutshell we have the lunacy that has defined the Republican party over the last eight years.
We get our country back on January 20th. A-freakin’-men.
As for DC, as a former resident, it has its problems like anywhere else. I loved it though, and I’m sorry I’ll miss such an historic occasion, not to mention one of America’s greatest days ever.
But now I’m curious Jay — as you type away from your mom’s basement, what location do you live in that doesn’t have any crime or violence?
DC is a very tolerant place. A little bit of a drug problem, but very tolerant. The citizens have high standards for elected officials. A Top notch public school system, leading the nation in literacy. Low levels of crime and violence, fiscally responsible, a shining example of how to run a city.
Jaim, apparently you’re a product of the outstanding DC school systems — or very well could be. I said that there’s almost certainly nothing irregular about Obama’s birth certificate, but they’re holding back on releasing it just because it keeps a group of the nuts all worked up over it — and NOT digging into other things.
It’s a good move, and I’ve been almost as disgusted with the Obama birth-certificate nitwits as I have been about the “Sarah Palin isn’t Trig Palin’s birth mother” idiots.
I’m just tired of hearing about how wonderful Obama is because of who and what he is, and want to see him start being praised (or criticized) for what he does. Come January 20, it’s time for him to stop being “the first whatever” and simply be the president, and start doing presidential things.
In another article, oliver said the following:
Will Obama shatter negative stereotypes of black men?
NO PRESSURE AT ALL, JUST REVERSE 200 YEARS OF INGRAINED RACIAL STEREOTYPING WHILE ALSO RUNNING THE FREE WORLD. NO BIGGIE. SOLVE CANCER IN YOUR SPARE TIME. Jesus.
Hear, hear. Just let the man be president, and dump the rest of this crap. Lord knows that that job is more than enough.

Re: Amused Observer.
I love your snarky post! I lived in Arlington, Virginia from May 2001 until June 2004 and worked in the district. I love DC and am thinking about moving back soon. The one thing you forgot to mention in your comment was the size of the rats and roaches. Other than that your post was dead on. Yet I still love the place!

what you should have learned in any education that you may have had is to always ignore secondary sources and head to the primary source.
your instance that obama hasn’t released the birth certificate is, as my granny would say, only showing us your nickers.
It seems there are now five memes:
1. Marxist/Hitler rally.
2. Came for the music.
3. Disappointing turnout to hype ratio.
4. Wasn’t really that big.
5. Doesn’t matter anyway.
Did I miss one?
Parthenon has it NAILED. They need to find some way to minimize this event, and it’s my belief that the crowds will be bigger than expected. So look for the wingers to say it’s like a forced rally in Iran or Havana.
Jay Tea: I’m just tired of hearing about how wonderful Obama is because of who and what he is, and want to see him start being praised (or criticized) for what he does.
So you’re only interested in what he actually does, not for any imagined nefarious things?
Jay Tea: I said that there’s almost certainly nothing irregular about Obama’s birth certificate, but they’re holding back on releasing it just because it keeps a group of the nuts all worked up over it — and NOT digging into other things.
Ah. Right. All those imagined “other things” you’re sure he’s been up to.
Sean, who knows? So far enough has been uncovered that would have sunk pretty much any other politician, but Obama just shrugs it all off (with the considerable help of the dying mainstream media) — and a majority of Americans are willing and eager to let him get away with it.
What he’s hoping will remain uncovered is largely irrelevant. That those most interested in digging up dirt on him are all wrapped up in this stupid birth certificate “issue” is what matters.
Right now, I’m just wondering what all those idiots with “1-20-09 / Bush’s Last Day” bumper stickers will do with them in ten days…
J.
If you’re gonna dis B’more, you can bite me.
I’m writing this from the delightfully non-suburban reaches, (with marshes instead of beaches), of the slower, lower Eastern Shore, but I dig me some Baltimore!
Happy Inauguration Day, O-Dub!
“…I’ve been almost as disgusted with the Obama birth-certificate nitwits as I have been about the “Sarah Palin isn’t Trig Palin’s birth mother” idiots.”
Why just “almost?” It couldn’t be because Obama is a Democrat and Palin is a Republican now, could it? Of course not (rolls eyes).
So far enough has been uncovered that would have sunk pretty much any other politician, but Obama just shrugs it all off (with the considerable help of the dying mainstream media) — and a majority of Americans are willing and eager to let him get away with it.
Can we get a count on how many conservative talking points have been mashed into this sentence?
No sad daniel, “almost” because it was palin herself that made so many irresponsible decisions on the day of Trig’s birth that allowed that speculation to gain legs.
The Obama birth certificate thing doesn’t have any of that.
Better luck next time if you don’t /wrists over Obama’s inauguration.
Jay Tea: So far enough has been uncovered that would have sunk pretty much any other politician, but Obama just shrugs it all off (with the considerable help of the dying mainstream media) — and a majority of Americans are willing and eager to let him get away with it.
And clearly if Obama hasn’t been sunk it’s because the populace is just turning a blind eye to all the obvious wrong doing he and his associates have been involved in. Couldn’t possibly be that the populace is, instead, tired of all the trumped up charges and unsubstantiated rumors.
But as long as you just know, despite not being able to actually provide any sort of, y’know, evidence, that Obama has been up to no good.
No, Rotter, it’s because the Obama smear is just against him. Likewise the “McCain is old and crazy from being tortured” crap. The Palin smear involves her daughter and an infant. Obama and Palin are grownups, and they’ve chosen to be public figures — getting smeared like this is, sadly, part of the deal these days. But I have a special, deep, abiding hatred of those who use the children of politicians to attack their parents.
I’ve always felt that way, and always will.
J.
But I have a special, deep, abiding hatred of those who use the children of politicians to attack their parents.
Such sensitivity from a guy who supports the killing of civilians in war.
The last I heard, Republicans were fleeing D.C. because of the anticipated millions (of minorities) expected. Perhaps they have changed their tune. Seeing as how it worked so well in Denver, I am sure that I’ll read about some fundamentalist pastor praying for a cataclysmic atmospheric, cosmic, or geological event to occur in D.C. on January 20th. It seems that since their major thumpin’ on November 4th, right-wing nuttery is spinning out of control. Every day it’s a new meme.
Can somebody send Jay some heart medication and a bottle of scotch? Maybe he can just stay drunk and/or passed out through the 20th. I’d hate to miss his comedic posts here.
And you brought up the subject of my education Jay — I’d be happy to compare resumes with you if you’d like. FWIW, I actually went to the same high school that Obama’s kids will be attending. Kind of neat, no?
But I have a special, deep, abiding hatred of those who use the children of politicians to attack their parents.
Like Graeme Frost, right? Y’all fascist mnotherfuckers demonstrated exactly how concerned you are with protecting innocent children with that bullshit.
And of course, Chelsea Clinton was never called the white house dog either, right?
Fucking worthless, lying piece of shit. I am so motherfucking glad assholes like you are being marginalized now. Nobody gives a shit what you fucking sociopaths have to say about anything anymore, thank God.
“And of course, Chelsea Clinton was never called the white house dog either, right?”
Grendel, how could you be so naive. What Jay really meant is the following: “But I have a special, deep abiding hatred of those who use the children of Republican politicians to attack their parents.”
Jay Tea, not using the child of a politician to attack their parants:
Hilarious.
http://wizbangblog.com/content/2004/11/18/sometimes-i-hav.php
No doubt, Jay Tea came to his “special, deep, abiding hatred” of such a tactic sometime after this post.
Jay Tea on Obama and his kids:
http://wizbangblog.com/content/2008/08/01/if-you-cant-say-something-nice-say-nothing-at-all.php
Hmmm. I wonder who else might have appeared on People magazine:
http://www.popcrunch.com/sarah-palin-people-magazine-october-2008-cover-photo-interview/
I can understand the Obamas wanting to keep their kids out of the amazingly successful DC school system. But now Jaim has given us all good reason to worry about what kind of education those poor kids are going to burdened with now.
Michelle ought to just stay home, bake cookies and give those kids a chance by home schooling them. Their old mentor Rev. Wright can help with classes on tolerance, racial inclusiveness and science. Bill Ayers ought to be able to help with any litle areas that Michelle has trouble with like civics and American History.
Where did you go to college AO? Or did you? I’m guessing no.
Grendel, please. Stop being such an asswipe. I spent over a decade despising Limbaugh over that, got into several huge fights with colleagues at Wizbang over it, and only got over it a couple of years ago. I still don’t listen to him.
Graeme Frost? Oh, yeah, the kid that the Democrats thought would be the perfect human shield when they tried to redefine “needy” as “families making four times the poverty line” and jack up my taxes to cover health care for families making three times what I do. Yeah, it was incredibly despicable of the Democrats to use a little boy to make their arguments for them. The kid had NO fucking clue what the core of the debate was about; he just read the speech the Democrats’ staffers wrote for him.
The poor kid’s parents and the Democrats in Congress chose to make the family’s financial status the number one argument for increasing the scope of SCHIP. God forbid anyone should actually “vet” the argument and fact-check the claims being made on a multi-billion dollar increase in funding.
No, I think you meant to refer to Chief Justice Roberts’ son — when Roberts was nominated, there was speculation that he might be gay (it turned out that he was about five years old at the time) and the New York Times petitioned to get the adoption records unsealed on the theory that “there might be something irregular in there that we really, really wanna know about.”
Thanks for the refresher, though, Grendel. Now back to the bottom of the lake with you.
J.
Jay Tea: But I have a special, deep, abiding hatred of those who use the children of politicians to attack their parents.
Grendel72: Like Graeme Frost, right? Y’all fascist mnotherfuckers demonstrated exactly how concerned you are with protecting innocent children with that bullshit.
And of course, Chelsea Clinton was never called the white house dog either, right?
Fucking worthless, lying piece of shit.
To be fair, I believe JT has been rather consistent in his denouncing of the use of politician’s kids. Have many who share JT’s right wing political views taken shots at the kids? Absolutely. But I don’t think JT can be painted with that particular broad brush.
Jay Tea: Graeme Frost? Oh, yeah, the kid that the Democrats thought would be the perfect human shield when they tried to redefine “needy” as “families making four times the poverty line” …
God forbid anyone should actually “vet” the argument and fact-check the claims being made
Of course, an unwillingness to attack kids doesn’t stop JT from continuing to see only the “facts” he likes and leaving out any that don’t support his pre-determined view of the world.
Where I went to school it was understood that if you couldn’t hack anything else you could get an education degree. It pays pretty well though. At least in the US.
Amused Observer went to The School of Tough-Talking Anonymous Chickenhawk Neo-McCarthyite Bedwetting Blog Commenters.
To be fair, I believe JT has been rather consistent in his denouncing of the use of politician’s kids.
I have a couple of comments up thread in moderation but can we please just stop giving Jay Tea the benefit of the doubt about anything? The only consistency the guy has ever shown is his ability to get basic facts completely wrong.
He has not been consistent with regard to using children to attack their politician parents. He has been anything but.
The link to this is further up thread but here’s Jay Tea on not using Chelsea Clinton to attack her dad in 2004:
This was in 2004. Limbaugh made his Chelsea joke in 1993. You know, the one that Jay Tea found so disgusting. Give me a break.
Abused 0: Where I went to school it was understood that if you couldn’t hack anything else you could get an education degree. It pays pretty well though. At least in the US.
Which just goes to show how lacking your education was.
LOL,
Perhaps ed and Sean ought to examine just how well those education majors are doing their job. Is there any excuse for a kid who’s past 4th grade not to be literate? Past 6th grade to not have a working knowledge of percentages and fractions, to be able to balance a checkbook. Look at how many kids have to take remedial classes in college.
Past 6th grade to not have a working knowledge of percentages and fractions, to be able to balance a checkbook.
This sentence should have ended with a question mark. Idiot.
Oh, noes, teh HYPOCRISY!!!!! I am so ashamed!!!!
Congrats, you’ve proved I’m not perfect. Never claimed to be. Hell, I even admitted in the title (which you omitted) that it was an “evil thought.”
In that case, I blame George Carlin. (It’s always safe to blame the dead guy — he won’t argue.)
They say the quickest way to kill a joke is to explain it, so a brief moment of silence for the soon-to-be departed.
…
In one of George Carlin’s routines (I think it was “Feminist Blowjob”), he declared that you can make jokes about anything — it’s all a matter of where the exaggeration is. He then demonstrated by making two fairly funny jokes about rape. They weren’t hysterically funny, but they were worth a chuckle or two. That lesson stuck with me.
The lowest point of Bill Clinton’s administration was the revelation of his affair with Monica Lewinsky. For years the most vocal of feminists had been hammering on the issue of sexual harassment, even going so far as to say that when there was too much disparity between the power of the man and the woman, “consent” wasn’t even possible — that it was sexual harassment at best, and rape at worst, if the man held too much power over the woman within the work environment.
Then came along Clinton/Lewinsky — the ultimate embodiment of that principle. Here was the most powerful man on earth, having an affair with a woman with literally no power — an unpaid intern. And even more disgusting to some people, she was young enough to be his daughter — in fact, only seven years older than his actual daughter.
There was the genesis of my idea. When Bill Clinton’s library was dedicated, Chelsea Clinton was actually a few years older than Monica Lewinsky was at the time of her affair with Bill Clinton. Why not remind folks of what he had done, with a bit of exaggeration and emphasis that would remind people viscerally of just what an appalling thing he had done? In a way that was admittedly tasteless, but considerably less tasteless than the deeds that inspired it?
In retrospect, perhaps I shouldn’t have committed my thoughts to the screen. But I did. I won’t go back and delete it, or edit it. I don’t bury or hide anything I said or did.
And in this case, I wouldn’t. Not one of my prouder pieces, but I can live with “TEH HYPOCRISY!!!!!” on this one.
And every single time a discussion veers away from the topic (how significant, really, in the long term, will be the turnout for Obama’s inauguration?) to discussions of me, I get all warm and fuzzy inside from the love. Thanks, folks!
J.
JT said this – “So far enough has been uncovered that would have sunk pretty much any other politician, but Obama just shrugs it all off (with the considerable help of the dying mainstream media) — and a majority of Americans are willing and eager to let him get away with it.”
I say shut the fuck up. And that’s coming from a polite Canadian! Get it?
CB, I am deeply touched by your concern and interest in our political affairs, but I trust you’ll understand if I dismiss your calm, polite, rational, constructive criticisms.
Or, in words you might understand better, “take off, you hoser.”
Beauty, eh?
J.
“Congrats, you’ve proved I’m not perfect. Never claimed to be.”
Shorter Jay: I am incredibly full of shit and everything I write should be treated as such.
Like the rest of your dying party, it would do you well to discover some principles, stat. Americans have realized you truly don’t have any.
“So far enough has been uncovered that would have sunk pretty much any other politician, but Obama just shrugs it all off (with the considerable help of the dying mainstream media) — and a majority of Americans are willing and eager to let him get away with it.”
So far enough has been uncovered that would have sunk pretty much any other politician, but Bush just shrugs it all off (with the considerable help of the dying mainstream media) — and a majority of Americans (like Jay Tea) have been willing and eager to let him get away with it.
Funny thing, Jay – I haven’t seen you say things like this about the current Republican’t administration. Which has not even allowed the possibility of looking into the illegal, unethical, and immoral high crimes and misdemeanors of this administration. With the help and complicit approval of people like you, Jay Tea.
Why is it that you seek to pile on to the Democratic politician that has yet to be inaugurated, yet you still give a free pass to the current Republican’t administration? It wouldn’t be because you’re a shameless hypocritical Republican’t shill or anything like that, would it?
Perhaps ed and Sean ought to examine just how well those education majors are doing their job.
Excellent point. Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning?
JT, isn’t there at least SOMEPLACE you can post without people thinking you’re an idiot? Why not go elsewhere to look for it? It OBVIOUSLY isn’t here.
Fafaroo,
The concern you show for spelling and typos is heartwarming, the idiot part seems a little harsh. Why are liberals so harsh and intolerant? You are going to have your time in the sun and the Republic will endure. She will be a bit more tattered and worn but she shall endure. And the pendulum shall swing back.
We will have less freedom and liberty, liberals despise freedom and liberty, they despise the country we have built, what has made us different from the rest of the world. Liberals envision a world where the elite shall take care of the little people who can’t be trusted to know what is good for them.
Obama will disapoint the left. He will be plenty bad for this country but not as bad as you desire. He is smart enough to move to the center but he will probably be even worse for this country than FDR. Political pull not American ingenuity will dominate our economy. With any luck the inflation will kick in about midway through his first 4 years and he will take the heat.
Ruining our medical system will most likely be his major accomlishment after crippling our economy.-legacy. The government not doctors will decide what treatment is appropriate and on their timeline. Eventually rationing will occur and some overpaid government hack will decide if you live or die.
So enjoy your bit of power and be careful what you wish for. Idiot.
LOL,
It is kind of cute the way the Canadians worry about the affairs of their betters. You’d think they would be busy enough ruining their own country and not have time to meddle with ours.
Currently, insurance companies, not doctors, decide what treatments are appropriate and on what timeline. Currently, some overpaid insurance company hack decides whether people live or die. Lots better!
Don’t bother responding, AO. You’ll just reprise your wholly undeserved superiority act, followed by LOLling , scratching, and bleeding or some such nonsense.
Congrats, you’ve proved I’m not perfect. Never claimed to be. Hell, I even admitted in the title (which you omitted) that it was an “evil thought.”
Here’s a thought, Jay Tea, why don’t you do yourself a favor and headline all your posts, “I’m a Huge Douche”. That way you won’t have to come up with so many pathetic excuses for being a huge douche. We’ll all just know.
So enjoy your bit of power and be careful what you wish for. Idiot.
AO, you might want to use “I’m a huge douche as well.”
Why are liberals so harsh and intolerant?
Prob’ly all the fags and “minorities.”
Liberals envision a world where the elite shall take care of the little people who can’t be trusted to know what is good for them.
Indeed. Who can forget when Obama, the liberalist Senator said, “Some call you the elite. I call you my base.”?
For the record, I think we should figure out just how huge a douche Jay Tea really is.
Here’s Jay Tea on Rush Limbaugh:
Here’s Jay Tea on Jay Tea:

Nice to know what you can live with and what you can’t, Jay Tea. Funny how you’re so willing to excuse your own words while holding your grudge against Limbaugh for, what was it, years?
Then again, repeatedly attacking Limbaugh over his Chelsea joke is a neat, and meaningless, way to pretend you’re some kind of “independent thinker” while being such a huge douche yourself.
How huge a douche?
It’s clear that you’ve made this issue of children and the media one of your great “causes”. In one 2007 wizbang post you wrote:
So this is one of your “push button” issues.
In another 2007 post, you wrote:
In 2006 you wrote:
Jay Tea, this isn’t just a push button issue. You’ve made it one of your signature issues. You have spared no words for those you think are violating your set in stone principles. You’ve even used it to set yourself ABOVE Chelsea Clinton’s own parents in regards to your concern for her political exploitation.
And yet all of this came after your own little “joke” which you now find so easy to write off. You don’t drag yourself over the coals as you did with Rush Limbaugh. You certainly don’t apologize or, god forbid, apologize to Chelsea or her parents. Nope. You decide, well, you can live with it. That’s pretty damn douchey, dude.
Will you please just go away now?
Amused Observer, Jan 12th, 2009 at 10:56 am
It is kind of cute the way the Canadians worry about the affairs of their betters. You’d think they would be busy enough ruining their own country and not have time to meddle with ours.
Almost as cute as an elitist Republican’t snob pontificating about others worrying about the the affairs of their betters. After Republican’ts have been spending the last fifty years doing that exact thing.
Apparently that whole hypocrisy thing is just slightly above the intellectual level of the average Republican’t Putsch fellator. Who (other than anyone who reads any of the comments from the Reich wing found on this blog) would ever conceive of such a thing?
LOL, indeed…
Oh yeah, Jay Tea, i forgot to add your comment in this very thread:
You spent “over a decade despising Limbaugh” for his Chelsea joke. A point you returned to repeatedly in the years immediately following your own Chelsea joke.
Above you make a huge point of why you made the joke:
In other words, why not tell a tasteless joke at Chelsea’s expense to attack her father. Just the thing you spent “over a decade” despising Limbaugh for.
I wish you would just go away but I know you won’t. Instead, I would suggest that you pause and think the next time you want to attack anyone here or some other liberal/Dem for hypocrisy. Because not only have offered a rationalization for doing what you claim to despise, you’ve made it perfectly clear that when called on your own hypocrisy, you couldn’t care less.
“Will you please just go away now?”
He won’t, because this is a guy whose website is so ignored that he has to troll an obviously liberal site to get any traffic, or attention.
But I revel in it. He’s wrong about everything and anything, and during my coffee-breaks at work I enjoy seeing him made to play the fool yet again, as he brushes the Cheetoh-dust from his face and yells at mommy to make him yet another tuna fish sandwich so he can bellow about “libruls”, i.e., reality-based thinkers.
My god, we’re about to have a real president in one more week. Good times.
We will have less freedom and liberty, liberals despise freedom and liberty, they despise the country we have built,
Who exactly is this “we” you spoke of, Asshat Observer? You just continue to prove you don’t know what you’re talking about.
Eventually rationing will occur and some overpaid government hack will decide if you live or die.
As opposed to what we have now, where an overpaid insurance hack decides if you live or die?
He won’t, because this is a guy whose website is so ignored that he has to troll an obviously liberal site to get any traffic, or attention.
Jay Tea, much like Joe the Plumber, is another example of failing up on the right. He “graduated” from Wizbang to Commentary:
I think Jay Tea defines what “intellectual life” means for the right.

Typical crap that the world is sick off. Maybe Mr. Obama can bring back some self respect to your country. We’ll see.
“I’ve long subscribed to the theory that Obama won’t release it”
Not once, but several times Jay did you repeat this ridiculous and false statement? What… the State of Hawaii hasn’t made the Birth certificate available? What, the Obama campaign didn’t do the same thing?
Yet, it’s easier for you to say it hasn’t been released…

Like you never meddle in running other people’s countries, eh? Your type of american just wants to be involved where ever you self interest takes you but when an “outsider” comments on your hideous blood sucking ways, then we’re meddling. Typical crap that the world is sick off. Maybe Mr. Obama can bring back some self respect to your country. We’ll see.
Hang on JT, I’m reaching for my shoe.
Brucie,
As always you haven’t a clue. Up here in my neck of the woods the doctors make the decisions. When insurance companies balk at the bill , the state govt. pays for the indigent, private philanthropy provides a lot of money, there is a lot of negotiation and the hospitals end up eating much of it. One of the biggest consistant deadbeats is medicare and medicaid. The fraction of the cost the Feds pay doesn’t even pay for the cost of the paperwork to process it.
You will be singing a different tune when your personal medical treatment is in the hands of a bureaucracy.
Duros,
We would be the citizens of our fair republic. An extremely farsighted group of men crafted an elegant form of government, engineered to maximise individual freedom and liberty. They put unprecedented power in the hands of the people. Since then it has been the responsibility of us to protect our Constitution from the never ending efforts of the Govt. to diminish our rights and grab power specifically denied to the Govt. and reserved to the people. And before you get your panties in a bundle about slavery remember to put that into historical and global perspective. Shorter version of slavery: it has existed from the dawn of time to this very day. It was considered a normal condition. We had it, we got rid of it, get over it.
Canadian Bacon,
We protect our self interests, we picked up the cost of rebuilding and defending Europe from Russian aggression. Defending Korea, etc. etc. etc. Canada lives under the unbrella of our defense system.
I know to a liberal socialist it is just hideous blood sucking. The world is sick of our crap right up until they get their ass in a crack and we go in, once again.
Fafaroo, OK, you’re a huge douche as well as a naive liberal with good intentions. Feel better?
Feel better?
Good job, AO. You got the question mark in the right place.
“Shows signs of improvement.”
