Economy Vs. The NFL

The Redskins had layoffs on Thursday.
The Washington Redskins laid off at least 20 employees at Redskins Park this week and an undetermined number at FedEx Field, according to several sources with knowledge of the situation.
No coaches, trainers or scouts were let go. Cuts included at least one team vice president and members of the legal, marketing, information technology, public relations, cheerleading, game-day operations and Redskins Television staffs, according to several of the outgoing employees. Two members of the football operations staff were let go, sources said.
Unsurprisingly the defacto general manager of the Redskins and architect of numerous draft-day duds, Vinny Cerrato, remains gainfully employed at Redskins Park.

No offense, Oliver, but I hope the Redskins pick up where the Lions left off.
It’d be fun to see Danny Boy’s head explode like a meat puppet from Scanners.
The Redskins have been trying to figure the NFL out for the last 10 years or so. The change in our economy has nothing to do with their problems. Ownership need sto wake up and keep a coach for more than a few years to build a consistent plan. Bring in a veteran coach and keep the ownership off the playing field.
