Sarah Palin Is Still Fail

She shrieks at a picture of Keith Olbermann and called him “Evil”. This was the Republican nominee for president… and the leading candidate – so far – to be their next presidential candidate.

AWESOME.

Keith Olberman is NOT a progressive lefty liberal. He is middle of the road. Obama is a conservative* democrat.
The wingnut hacks Saying Olberman is evil are the ones that said Hannity is a liberal, because he doesn’t agree with them 100%. These are the same hacks that said Holy Joe is “one of the three most liberal senators”.
They are happy to parade their delusions in techmnicolor!

*= not using the C word as an insult. Obama is to the right of most Democratic senators & congresscritters.

Not sure where you’re seeing this. Congress – esp the Senate – is pretty conservative. Is Obama more conservative than the activist base of the party? Yes, moreso than the average Democrat? Doubtful.

  3. Duros62 says:

    Moderate. Pragmatic. Thoughtful.

  4. ed says:

It’s hard to put anyone on a uni-dimensional spectrum, but Obama did get the Iraq War right. That’s to the left of a lot of Dems, and had he not, he prob’ly wouldn’t be President.

  5. Jaim says:

I honestly can’t wait until Palin runs in 2012 and gets crushed. Hell, she might not even be able to keep her job in Alaska, she’s such a joke.

  6. buma says:

The best line from the election season was, “I believe marriage is meant to be a sacred institution between two unwilling teenagers.”
The teenagers remain unwilling, and Palin is still the ultimate gift that keeps on giving — with or without hysterical assistance from Tina Fey.
Two weeks ago a conservative cousin told me she wished Palin would run in 2012 to shake up Washington. I couldn’t agree more.

  7. ed says:

Palin is George Bush, Junior without the royalty. But that’s the only difference, really. She’s as stupid, incurious, proudly anti-intellectual, religiously extreme, easily manipulated by would-be Cheneys and Roves. She embodies the worst tendencies of the modern Republican party. Truly horrible.

  8. WriteBlack says:

She does not wear well. I just don’t understand the people who think she’s going to be the salvation of the GOP.

  9. daniel rotter says:

To be fair to Palin, the “evil” line might have an tongue-in-check, and not a serious, utterance.

  10. Jaim says:

I still can’t get over the Couric interview where she claimed that she reads “everything.”

Oh, that mean ol’ Katie Couric, asking a politician what newspapers she regularly reads! The horror! The humanity!

But Palin is definitely comedy gold.

  11. Parthenon says:

Kind of interesting to me none of the conservatives stopped by here to defend the Governor. That may or may not be indicative of their actual opinion, uncolored by electoral support.

  12. ed says:

Although, to acknowledge reality, she is a fuckin idiot–George Bush, Junior stupid. Occam’s Razor and all…

  13. DEO says:

Firstly, PALIN´S NEW RELEASE, THIS WEEK, the 9 minute video dissing Couric (again), Fey and Kennedy is so sad because THIS IS SOMEONE TRYING TO PUT PALIN IN A GOOD LIGHT! That´s it, I had to vent.
Oh, she´s really kind of pathetic HERE.

Now, what I want to KNOW why when you post something about Sarah, her defenders SAY THAT YOU ARE AFRAID OF HER? We are laughing, does this laughter somehow denote FEAR? Do they perceive it AS nervous LAUGHTER, INSTEAD OF ROLLING IN THE AISLES OVER THE LATEST PALIN GAFFE laughter??? Don´t get it…………

  14. somejackass says:

Wow, are you asking me to choose if I hate Olberman or Palin more? That is a tough call indeed…

    Parthenon,
Perhaps that is because it is hopeless to discuss such things with Liberals. It is worse than shouting past each other and not worth the effort. The treatment she received in the popular media is a reflection not upon her but upon liberals, an ugly intellectually dishonest reflection of moral weakness.

    In what respect, Amused Observer?

Thanks for the love, but dealing with Palin-philes ain’t exactly a tall order.

True, but you made up for the low degree of difficulty with bodacious style points.

  20. Amused Observer says:

    “In what respect, Amused Observer?”

The left indulged in charactor assassination and didn’t come close to applying a consistant intellectually honest evenhanded standard to Sarah Palin. While that is normal for liberals the degree of malice was unusually high.

The people in her home state who know her best think quite highly of her.

  21. Went right over his head.

And even higher of Lisa Murkowski, at least in terms of a possible Senate race:

    Alaska 2010 Senate
    Republican Primary: Murkowski (R-i) 57, Palin (R) 33

  23. Jam says:

What buma said. Palin might not even hold her seat, which would effectively sink her hopes from 2012.

Which honestly would be a crying shame. The less Obama has to spend/campaign, the more time he can spend being a good president.

What a steaming pile of sanctimonious and spectacularly clueless claptrap bullshit.

Sarah Palin got an “intellectually honest evenhanded” treatment from the “liberal” media. Then Palin opened her mouth.

It was not the liberal media who compelled Palin to say that only certain parts of the country have “real” Americans, that foreign policy experience is measured by geographic proximity to other countries, that abortion clinic bombers do not qualify as terrorists or portray herself as the everyday worker while parading in an extravagant wardrobe bought with the money of others. There was only so much disbelief that could be suspended until those with brains slightly bigger than a shrew could realize that Sarah Palin wasn’t remotely qualified for the vice president position.
Those who suggest otherwise are just as stupid enough to paint themselves into a corner and are now reduced to lecturing the brush.

  25. C.S.Strowbridge says:

“What a steaming pile of sanctimonious and spectacularly clueless claptrap bullshit.”

There is a large section of Republicans, and indeed members of the media, who think that no matter what the score is, if you don’t declare the game a tie, you are biased.

  26. Quaker in a Basement says:

    Went right over his head.

What did I say about style points? Give ed another cookie! Haw!

  27. daniel rotter says:

It was also not the liberal media who compelled the Palinator to give a videotaped speech to a group that wanted to secede Alaska from the United States.

  28. daniel rotter says:

Ugh ..”wanted Alaska to secede from the United States” (I proofread about as well as John Conyers).

Funny thing, though, AO – when the right indulged in charactor assassination and didn’t come close to applying a consistant intellectually honest evenhanded standard to Barack Obama, you said absolutely nothing about it (unless it was to whinge about how the conservatove media wasn’t piling on to Obama enough). While that is normal for Reich wing Republican’ts, the degree of malice was unusually high.

Absolutely amazing that you fail to see this sort of thing. Then again, the number of things you fail to see (in your own hypocritical comments here at the very least) suggests a level of fail that is high even for a bedwetting chickenhawk with Republican’t blinder on such as yourself.
