    Ho-ly Crap! Many’s the time I’ve thought for just a moment about how they’d do that, and given up because it seemed too tricky, but never guessed at how bad it really was. All the brute-force computation to use a bunch of camera parameters to figure where in the image the xx-yard line would be at this instant: amazing.

    I ought to be impressed at the way it’s done in real time, every frame, but by now we take that kind of computing power for granted. It’s the complexity of the calculation, plus things like the color filter problem, which naturally never even occurred to bystanders like me, that blows the mind.

    Cool of them to demonstrate the misfunctioning of the color filtration, too. Thanks for the link.
