Very ticked, Patterson Joseph would have been way hotter er, better.

Have y’all seen the new Xmas special, called “The Next Doctor”? Given the title, several folks assumed that the new character in it would be the next incarnation, but if you watch the episode, it’s quite clear that that’s not the case. I wonder if the cheeky devils were deliberately trying to play off the rampant speculation on the subject…

They’ve re-introduced most of the classic Who villains, personally I keep wondering if with all the nifty new CGI they could do something interesting with the eternal antagonists of the Sontaran Empire, the Rutans. The only time we’ve ever seen one from back in the 70s it looked like a bit of Saran-wrapped glowing green goo (which is probably what it was). Nowadays one could make all sorts of extruded tentacles and such – it would be nice to have a really non-humanoid lifeform badguy.

Should have known it would be someone under 30 when the Sun made up a Moffat quote saying it would probably be someone over 40.

I was hoping for one of the Jekyll cast members, but I’m curious to see what this guy can do with the role. Juxtaposing all the “leading armies and opening the TARDIS with a snap of his fingers” stuff Moffat foreshadowed in his last arc with a Doctor that young would be pretty neat.
