It’s 2009, But Redstate.com Is Still Stupid

Erick Erickson is the stupid one today. The story at hand – the Washington Post hiring Greg Sargent – shows again that journalists from the liberal side tend to have less trouble entering the MSM not because of their secret liberal decoder rings but because liberal publications but a higher value on these things called facts versus propaganda.

(And I’m biased, but this is also the reason Media Matters has more credibility than MRC.)

I love the comment at Redstate in response to the obvious Ben Domenench riposte, that “Well, yeah, but the WaPo wouldn’t hire Ben TODAY!” Yeah, like a mere 4 years ago the right wing was all crushing on the WaPo’s noble objectivity and fairness, but today it has devolved into a cesspool of Kossack vituperation…

And to think, Erick van Erickson once fought so hard to defend the Washington Post. Of course, when reminded of Ben, Erick says the Washington Post dumped him due to “lefty outrage than later revelations”, attempting to ignore the whole PLAGARISM angle. Never mind that Ben’s defense was far from compelling.

You Modern Republican Party, shit-all awful as ever.

Problem: People mock you by calling you the 101st Fighting Keyboarders.

Solution: Design a cool special forces style logo! Brilliant!

Wow. Just wow. They’re issuing military-style patches for their chickenhawk soldiers to wear. I know there’s a Godwin’s Law and everything, but…
