Area Codes Don’t Matter

My friend, who is in the Navy and currently on base in Illinois, has a Florida-based area code at 954. Yet, he’s lived for the last couple years in Nebraska, Milwaukee and the caribbean.

The days when you could see a 954 number and think “Oh, Florida” is OVER. Welcome to the future.

    Oliver,

This just happened to me this week. My wife and I needed a new clothes washer. I researched and found a good one and they offered delivery and haulaway. The next day the phone rang and the caller id shows Montana calling. Well when the answering machine picked up, it was the local delivery man, he said he was using his wifes cell phone.

Thank you. I’ve had the same 202 area code for a while even as I’ve lived in DC, New York, South Carolina, Virginia and elseware. Older people get confused but I’m not going to change my number every time I move.
