He should snitch and be proud.

  2. rikyrah says:

this is the one time when snitching won’t hurt him with the Black community (because they think he’s being done wrong), and it would HELP him with the White community.

wear that snitch bad proudly, JJJ!

  3. rikyrah says:

    snitch BADGE – sorry

  4. Jay Tea says:

A few years ago, there was a big surge in “STOP SNITCHING” t-shirts in Boston, pushed mainly by gangs. It got so bad that people were wearing them into court, until judges ordered them removed (the shirts or the people).

“Snitching” should be honored and respected. That it has become a mark of shame in some communities is in itself disgraceful.

If, indeed, JJ Jr. has been cooperating with the FBI for years (and voluntarily, not because they had him on the hook for some offense of his own), then he has done us all a service and should be lauded. If he helped bring down a hideously corrupt figure, then he deserves credit, not scorn.

If, instead, he was “flipped” after getting caught in some wrongdoing, and helped get Blagojevich to save his own ass, then that ought to be revealed — but no charges, if that was the deal.

  5. Bruce Henry says:

In other words he should be forever branded by unproven allegations, but not given his day in court. American justice, Jay Tea style.

  6. Roy says:

Something just doesn’t seem right about this whole deal with Jackson Jr. Why would Blago have covert conversations about offers that Jackson’s people made if they were not true? Why would he lie if he wasn’t even aware that his conversations were being tapped? I think Jesse Jr. is lying his ass off in an effort to save his political future. Congress should at the very least launch a congressional ethics investigatoin into Jackson’s conduct.

  7. Jay Tea says:

Nice idea, Roy… but remember this is the same Congress that currently has Charles Rangel, William Jefferson, Dianne Feinstein, Harry Reid, and a slew of other shady characters to “investigate” first. If you have faith in their ability to police themselves, then good for you. I outgrew that delusion shortly after I stopped believing in Santa.

For what it’s worth, I think you’re probably right and Jackson is just making shit up to save his ass.

“Snitching” should be honored and respected.1

1 – except, of course, when the snitcher is reporting on illegal actions of the Bush administration. In that case, the traitorous America-hating stool pigeon is to be excoriated in print and talk radio, hounded out of home and career, and preferably driven to suicide.

    And they’re all Democrats!

    In Superman’s Fortress of Solitude…

Superman: [whispering to Lex Luthor] Try and get them all into this molecule chamber. It takes away their powers, see…and turns them into ordinary human beings. Now if you could…

    [Zod approaches]

    Superman: Shh, shh!

Lex Luthor: [pauses] General, don’t go in there. It’s a trap.

    Superman: Luthor, you poisonous snake!

Lex Luthor: That’s a molecule chamber. It turns people like you…into people like me.

General Zod: [nods] You’ve done well, Lex Luthor.

Lex Luthor: [pointing] The crystal there activates the mechanism.

General Zod: Lex Luthor, ruler of Australia…activate the machine.

[Non grabs Luthor and flies him up to the control panel]

–Later, after Superman has disposed of the three super villains…

Superman: I knew you’d double-cross me, Luthor. A lying weasel like you couldn’t resist the chance.

Lex Luthor: [feigning surprise] What…are you kidding? I was with you all the time! Did you see how they fell into our trap?!

    Superman: Too late, Luthor.

    Too late.

Rheinhard, had all those “America-hating stool pigeons” snitched to the proper authorities (like JJJ is allegedly doing for Fitzpatrick), I wouldn’t have had a problem. However, the New York Times Editorial page is not such a proper authority. Neither is David Corn’s blog.

  12. icebergslim says:

    He should snitch.

That shit Blago was doing is so outrageous, it is beyond belief.

Chicago and Illinois politics is riddled with corruption, this crap should be cleaned up.

If it was not for Blago, all this is “there any, there, there”, would not surround Barack and his team.

Black folks will stand with JJJ on snitching.

  13. Jay Tea says:

Hey, I’ve lost my notes on something. Who was Blagojevich’s campaign chair in 2002, anyway?

I also seem to have misplaced the info on who Blagojevich named to straighten up the Illinois Gaming Board back in 2004. I swear, I just had it a minute ago…

Coming from the wellspring of stupid that peddled the $30,000 ring story, theres a good bet the Wiztards can also prove that Muntadhir al-Zaidi is an Obama campaign donor by using bogus credit card numbers from their garages.

Can’t wait for the next big scoop since Dan Rather.

  15. matt621 says:

    Look – shiny thing!

    Well played, PD100!

  16. PD100 says:

You can’t make the connection between D-list blogger and the D-list blog I linked to, Matt? Stop the presses.

  17. matt621 says:

It’s “commented on,” not “linked to.”

    Try to pay attention.

  18. PD100 says:

I am paying attention. I guess we just come from two worlds. Only mine has soap and toilet paper.

  19. matt621 says:

I guess the real difference is that in my world, the soap and toilet paper doesn’t just sit on the store shelf, I buy it and bring it home and use it.

    Your turn.
