Blackwell’s In

So now Ken Blackwell, the black Republican former Secretary Of State for Ohio, is running for RNC chair. This, with Michael Steele, makes up all the black Republicans.

You might remember Blackwell for most recently trying to disqualify black voters in 2004, or for getting his butt kicked by 23% in the 2006 Ohio gubernatorial race.

    And Lynn Swann!!

O Dub got it right; Keyes left.

I am an atheist but this I’d reasonably persuasive evidence for a Democratic god.

    You forgot J.C. Watts

  5. KC says:

True, but Mr Watts isn’t running for any public office these days, as far as I know.

Seriously? Keyes left? I must have missed the memo. Damn.

He’s still a right-wing crazy bastard, so he’ll always be a Republican in my book.

    Morons on parade.

    Keep it up Republicans.

  8. michael says:

And Clarence Thomas, but he’s got a pretty sweet gig already.

I actually feel kind of sorry for Blackwell. In the 2006 gubernatorial race, he couldn’t even get 40% against a non-incumbent in a Republican-leaning state (and yes, I think that characterization of Ohio, even with Obama’s win there, is accurate).

    Apologies for the double post.
