4-8 Years Of Conspiracy Theories About Obama Birth Certificate

In all likelihood this bogus “case” about Obama’s birth certificate will be roundly rejected by the Supreme Court. That its even up for review smells of jealousy from pariah Clarence Thomas, but for the conspiracy theorists the rejection will be a great thing because it then feeds into the story about the powers that be working in secret to control the universe.

  • What is Clarence Thomas up to this time?

  • Because, lord knows, this Supreme Court would be in the tank for Obama. Just as their predecessors were in the tank for Gore.

  • Clarence Thomas: official House Negro for the GOP. However, I would use a word that is much stronger than “negro.”

  • The fervor of the RWNM regarding the whole ‘Barry Soetero is not eligible to be POTUS!’ meme is truly risible. Apparently, the decades-long conspiracy to destroy the United States by getting a Marxist Muslim Manchurian Mole elected forgot the detail about making sure the candidate could actually take office.

Truly, this makes Bush Derangement Syndrome look like a beer buzz by comparison.

  • Obama’s birth certificate is in the same underground vault as George W. Bush’s TANG records. Where’s Geraldo when we need him?

  • Don”t you all understand how serious this is? This goes far beyond the nightmares of Leo Donofrio and threatens the very existence of humanity.

I heard a rumor that there is no known photograph of Obama as a child. I can’t remember where or when or how I heard this rumor but I am sure the source is trustworthy.

This can only mean one thing….Obama is a Humanoid Cylon.

    Be afraid, be very afraid.

  • now thats a twist

  • Can anyone say what would happen in the hypothetical situation that a President-elect were judged ineligible before inauguration? Would the VP-elect become president-elect, or would the candidate who came in second get the position?

I mean, assuming civil order held up and the government didn’t collapse under the rioting.

  • “tom asks”

Can anyone say what would happen in the hypothetical situation that a President-elect were judged ineligible before inauguration? ”

The same thing that would happen if the President-elect died before the inauguration.

    Amendment 20

Section 3. If, at the time fixed for the beginning of the term of the President, the President elect shall have died, the Vice President elect shall become President. If a President shall not have been chosen before the time fixed for the beginning of his term, or if the President elect shall have failed to qualify, then the Vice President elect shall act as President until a President shall have qualified; and the Congress may by law provide for the case wherein neither a President elect nor a Vice President elect shall have qualified, declaring who shall then act as President, or the manner in which one who is to act shall be selected, and such person shall act accordingly until a President or Vice President shall have qualified.

  • LOL,
Why doesn’t Obama simply release his actual Hawaiin birth certificate and let it be properly vetted? There are reports that his paternal Grandmother claims he was born in Africa. When you look at his actual family history anything could have happened.

I doubt the Supreme Court will take this case but how should we get to the bottom of this?

Why won’t Obama face this squarely and put it behind him?

I noticed the obligatory disrespect shown Clarence Thomas. Why the bitterness, In what case before the Supreme Court has he not shown himself to be true to the Constitution?

  • I’ve decided the “LOL” that Amused 0 likes to put at the start of his comments must stand for “Look, Ongoing Lunacy:”.

  • Ah, I thought that only referred to death. I guess I should have looked it up before asking.

  • Sometimes I think about how some of these people will be viewed in fifty years. And then I chuckle.

  • Arguing with these birth certificate wingnuts is like arguing evolution with Creationists. No matter how many examples of transitional fossils you provide they will always want another. “Shouldn’t there be a fossil that falls between Australopithecus ramidus (mid-Pliocene, 4.4 Ma) and Australopithecus africanus (later Pliocene, 3.0 Ma)?” They will ask. When you provide Australopithecus afarensis (late Pliocene, 3.9 Ma)they will ask “shouldn’t there be a fossil between afarensis and africanus?” And on and on ad infinitum. The parsing of how many angels are on the head of a pin is endless. They ignore that the fossil record favors individuals who died in mud and happened to be members of a plentiful species. There will always be the need for one more transitional fossil.

Same with Obama’s Hawaiian birth. Provide the Birth Certificate and it is a forgery. Provide a government official vouching for the validity of the birth certificate and they are lying. On and on ad infinitum.

These people have made up there minds and no evidence will dissuade them.

I apologize in advance to Oliver and everyone else if this post brings out the anti-evolution Luddites.

  • Oh come on, Colorado. If you’re gonna lay the bait that well, don’t apologize for catching something.

  • I assume that the concensus here is that Obama’s grandmother and his siblings are liars. Youtube has multiple videos of the African relations claiming a Kenyan birth. Maybe those videos are fake and it really isn’t his relatives, or maybe the translations are wrong.

  • Obama probably beats his wife and children too. I mean, what evidence do we have that he _doesn’t_?

  • Every time AO starts a post with “LOL”, I get a mental picture of that little guy with the mustache from the Monopoly game, sitting at a PC, laughing.

  • Please tell me that AO didn’t just site youtube as a source?

THey can’t possibly be that stupid.

  • But Obama does beat his family.
    Its on youtube.lol

  • “Why doesn’t Obama simply release his actual Hawaiin birth certificate and let it be properly vetted?”

    Probably due to there being no “Hawaiin”. As for Obamas Hawaiian birth certificate;

    Born in the U.S.A.

    There you go.

  • If only the criteria for Obama’s citizenship was as high a standard for “imminent threat”.

  • This is gonna be the new Whitewater, isn’t it?

  • No,it’s not going to be the new Whitewater, if for no other reason than the Republicans control nothing and have no power to demand endless bullshit subpoenas and special prosecutors. And as stupid as I believe the Congressional republican leadership to be, I think even they realize that if they spend all their time on the floor of the House & Senate complaining that Obama hasn’t given them a good enough birth certificate while Americans are seeing their retirement saving go up in smoke, they will be able to light a course from one end of the country to the other by their burning effigies.

  • While I wouldn’t generally cite youtube as an unimpeachable source I notice no one has addressed the central questions,

Are those folks actually relations to Obama?

    Is the translation accurate?

Are they lying when they say Obama was born in Kenya or is Obama lying when he says he was born in Hawaii?

Obama does continue to not release his birth certificate. An interesting note, the state of Hawaii does not require someone to actually be born in Hawaii to have a “certificate of live birth” which is was has allegedly been released on the internet. Obama refuses to release the original long form birth certificate.

Obama has already lied repeatedly during this campaign, should we give him the benefit of the doubt now.

Shouldn’t Obama release his original long form birth certificate and keep the country from the disruptive distraction of the claims of his relatives, that he wasn’t actually born in the U.S.?

  • Quaker in a Basement

    AO,

Mr. Obama could have been born on Mars and it wouldn’t matter at all. His mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, was an American citizen, ergo, so is Mr. Obama.

  • So to satisfy to few he should do it right?

AO most people don’t really care.
Common sense would tell you that the GOP would have alread yuse this but gues what they didn’t because they know it is a dumb idea.
This is not a safe then sorry scenario.
You are just feeding into propaganda spread by completely unreliable sources.

    Way to go dumbass!!!

  • Quaker in a Basement

Most of the “facts” AO cites come to us from Phillip Berg. I wonder if AO also gives credence to Mr. Berg’s other interesting theories?

  • “While I wouldn’t generally cite youtube as an unimpeachable source I notice no one has addressed the central questions …”

I’m with you AO. The only times I ever cite questionable sources are whenever I want to make a point about something and there’s no reliable source to back me up.

Like you, I know that this is stricter standard of evidence than most people on the internet hold themselves too but I think intellectual honesty demands it.

Of course, as you know, holding oneself to such high standards often makes it difficult for to prove definitively many of the wild claims that I already believe to be true, which is why I, like you, demand that others do the work of verifying the integrity of the sources I cite.

I think most people would agree that this line of reasoning is itself unimpeachable, which is why it’s a hallmark of conservative “thought.”

  • Nobody, least of all AO, puts one over on fafaroo.

  • Are those folks actually relations to Obama?

    Is the translation accurate?

Are they lying when they say Obama was born in Kenya or is Obama lying when he says he was born in Hawaii?

Until you can answer any of these question, you can go bark up a tree.

  • As an issue of national significance, this is right up there with the ‘Sarah Palin is Trig’s grandmother’
mishegass that Andrew Sullivan keeps peddling at the
Daily Droolbib. When Michelle Malkin, of all people, looks
at you and says, ‘dude, you’re a loon,’ you’ve crossed the
    blue event horizon of wingnuttery.

Granted, there’s a certain majesty in being that demented. It’s the same ‘majesty’ as in His Imperial Majesty, Norton I, Emperor of the United States and Protector of Mexico.

Seriously, though, if “I saw it on YouTube” is your big dog, stay on the effin’ porch.

  • When Michelle Malkin, of all people, looks
at you and says, ‘dude, you’re a loon,’ you’ve crossed the
    blue event horizon of wingnuttery.

    Ew, yeah, that stings.

  • No,it’s not going to be the new Whitewater, if for no other reason than the Republicans control nothing and have no power to demand endless bullshit subpoenas and special prosecutors.

    Man, I hope your right.

  • So it seems that as I said before, that the concensus is that Obama’s Grandmother and siblings are either mistranslated or lying.

  • So it seems that as I said before, that the concensus is that Obama’s Grandmother and siblings are either mistranslated or lying.

Uh no, AO, the consensus is that you’re an idiot.

  • AO,
to spare you the trouble of following the link OW provided,
here’s the money quote (so to speak):
“None of that stopped Berg from stoking the conspiracy theorists. On Oct. 16, an Anabaptist minister named Ron McRae called Sarah Hussein Obama, the president-elect’s 86-year-old paternal step-grandmother, at her home in Kenya. Two translators were on the line when McRae asked if the elder Obama was “present” when the president-elect was born. One of the translators says “yes.” McRae contacted Berg and gave him a partial transcript of the call with a signed affidavit. He opted not to include the rest of the call, in which he asks the question more directly—”Was he born in Mombassa?”—and the translators, finally understanding him, tell him repeatedly that the president-elect was born in Hawaii.”

Now, the basic problem with all this is this: if you’re sufficiently revolted by the idea of BHO being elected in the first place to _want_ to believe that he’s a Marxist Muslim Manchurian Mole, this will not convince you. Just as if you’re sufficiently disgusted with GWB to want to believe that he’s an indolent, incurious, shallow product of the leisure class who’s skated by most of his adult life on his father’s positions and connections, there’s no evidence to the contrary that would convince you.

Wait, the last four words in that last sentence are superfluous. Heh.

  • Quaker in a Basement

AO, you really ought to take a look at the links Oliver has so helpfully provided. You’d learn stuff:

None of that stopped Berg from stoking the conspiracy theorists. On Oct. 16, an Anabaptist minister named Ron McRae called Sarah Hussein Obama, the president-elect’s 86-year-old paternal step-grandmother, at her home in Kenya. Two translators were on the line when McRae asked if the elder Obama was “present” when the president-elect was born. He opted not to include the rest of the call, in which he asks the question more directly—”Was he born in Mombassa?”—and the translators, finally understanding him, tell him repeatedly that the president-elect was born in Hawaii.

So it seems your supposition that Mr. Obama’s relatives were mistranslated or lying leaves out at least one more possibility–that someone is tampering with the evidence to partisan ends.

    A long shot, I know.

  • Quaker in a Basement

Robert, you’re a big poop. Beat me to it by that much.

  • Don’t Americans have a right to see his original long form birth certificate so we can put this behind us? It’s sort of like John Kerry’s military discharge papers, disclosure ends the controversy and would benefit the disclosee. As long as these guys stonewall it creates needless conflict. Why hide when disclosure is the obvious course?

  • Quaker in a Basement

As long as these guys stonewall it creates needless conflict.

    I see.

It’s not the cracked pottery posing as “concerned citizens” causing the conflict. It’s Mr. Obama’s unwillingness to indulge them.

AO, not even Mr. Donofrio, whose suit has been recognized by Justice Thomas, is claiming that Mr. Obama was not born where he says he was born. No, that’s strictly the province of conspiracy theorists, cryptoracists, and other refugees from appropriate medical care.

Even if Mr. Obama relents and produces the long-sought long form, he won’t find he has cleared the goal posts set by his challengers. They will certainly have been relocated another mile and a quarter down range.

  • Don’t Americans have a right to see his original long form birth certificate so we can put this behind us?

No, we don’t, by Hawaiian law we have no such right. It’s this thing called privacy. In fact, we have no right to see the short form, either, unless Mr Obama wishes to release it. Which he did.

    Go away now.

  • to the Repulican “theorists”:

More people wanted Obama than your guy. He’s black, and he’s got a Muslim middle name. He’s a Democrat.

Wrap you minds around that. Try not to let your head explode.

  • Amused Observer, Dec 5th, 2008 at 7:10 pm

Don’t Americans have a right to see his original long form birth certificate so we can put this behind us?

Oh, if only this much concern had been shown about (taking a random sample off of the top of my head) the authenticity of Sarah Palin’s last child, her refusal to release her medical records (along with McSenile’s similar reluctance to put his medical records out for public scrutiny), Cindy McTrophyWife’s tax returns, or the details of the government abuse McCain engaged in (well after promising to be a good boy after getting his hand caught in the Keating cookie jar) by getting a diplomatic passport to help his wife move illegal stolen drugs across international borders (and maybe even the hell he put the whistle blower who caught him through). Then perhaps you might have the possibility of half a leg to stand on with your demands for all to accept your fairy tales as being remotely connected to reality.

    LOL, indeed. Wolverines!

  • It really does have that “Whitewater” feel to it doesn’t it.
If the corporate media spends this much time on it (smoke) there must be something to it(fire).

  • if you’re sufficiently revolted by the idea of BHO being elected in the first place to _want_ to believe that he’s a Marxist Muslim Manchurian Mole, this will not convince you.

Those of us who were instrumental in finding a Marxist Muslim Manchurian Mole to put in the White House were also wise enough to make sure he was a natural born citizen before engaging in a decades-long conspiracy to put him in office. Cripes, AO, that was the first thing we looked for!

As for the lawsuits, I think they’re fine. Everyone needs a hobby.

  • I hope that the US Supreme Court’s rejection of this idiotic lawsuit means that we won’t have to hear the nonsense coming from the radical right. Some of them are still reeling from Obama’s November 4th victory, and have yet to come to terms with it.

It’s a red herring cooked up by folks who did not want hin to be elected in the first place.
