Bush Says Goodbye To The Fake Ranch

No need to pretend like he’s clearing brush anymore, Bush is moving to the big city.

First Lady Laura Bush and President George W. Bush are moving back to Dallas when the president’s term expires in January, the Associated Press is reporting.

Phony from start to finish.

I’m betting the Fake Cowboy wanted to go back and do fake cowboy stuff, but Laura told him no way she was going to spend another summer in that hick town. That lady needs to party.

I’m sure our super-duper Liberal Press will report this as the achievement of an even higher level of regular-guy authenticity by their beloved Preznit.

  4. Bruce Henry says:

The son of a bitch is AFRAID OF HORSES!!!!

  5. SaveFarris says:

If you bothered to read past the headline, you’d see he’s not “giving up the fake ranch”. It will continue to be their weekend getaway spot. The only thing that’s changing is that he’s going to commute to Dallas for the work week instead of D.C.

  6. That’s not quite his home, is it? Yeah, thought so.

  7. SaveFarris says:

It’s not his home NOW: 1600 PA is.

According to the article, he’s gonna spend M-F in Dallas doing … whatever ex-Presidents do. Weekends and Vacations/Holidays will be spent at the ranch. Just like now. Nothing changes.

So highlighting this only proves he’s NOT “phony”. Excellent work, my friend!

    ExACTly.

  9. Bruce Henry says:

How can you call it a ranch when it doesn’t have any horses on it?
And the reason it doesn’t is because President John Wayne, er, I mean George Bush, is AFRAID of horses!
I don’t know why, I just find that fucking hilarious.

  10. ed says:

Anyone think that SaveFarris really, really, deep in the deepest depth of his heart, actually believes that Bush’s Awesome Ranch was anything more than a campaign prop? Anyone care?

  11. PBen says:

Pretend like he’s clearing brush? No, he was really clearing brush.
That’s the only honest labor the man’s ever done, and he only did it to be doing something manual laborish with the cameras on him.

I bet the former pig farm is sold within a year after 1/20/2009, perhaps to a major GOP donor. I wouldn’t expect many weekends will be spent by the bushes there, since their time in Dallas is likely to be a sort of constant weekend anyway. I think Turd Bud came up with the ranch idea as a way to further the rugged dubya image. It was supposed to be Reaganesque, only without the horseback stuff. One of my conservative relatives had a calender with a picture of bush drivin’ in his ol’ pickup truck and makin’ his eyes all wrinkly as he squinted through he windshield a-lookin’ fer sum brush that needed clearin’. Who ever fell for that stageset crapola anyway? I mean besides Farris?

Me too. I still get a chuckle thinking about the photo-op with the Mexican President at HIS ranch, showing Bush his horses. Dude looked like he was gonna hurl.

  14. buma says:

A major part of bush’s time will be catching up on all that golf he sacrificed in honor of the troops. No doubt the courses around Dallas are better than the ones around Crawford. There is truly no reason for bush to be out at the pig farm at all after Obama’s inauguration.

  15. Erik says:

Look, the ranch is a stage set AND the article doesn’t establish that they’re “saying goodbye” to it. What’s hard about this?
