Using the word ‘poo’ in a political cartoon makes the cartoon 78% more funny. It’s a fact.
O’Reilly on ABC TV this a.m.: The ONLY reason Obama won was the economy. There’ll be lots of wingnuts spouting about “ONLY reasons.” George Bush as the ONLY reason, Palin as the ONLY reason, etc. etc.
Where can I monitor the diminishing audience numbers of these flapping mouths?
anotherbozo:
Why is BillO the Clown on ABC?

It’s hard white guy law. Any time a white guy loses to a black guy, there is one and only one reason that explains it. It’s never, ever because the black guy was the better contender.
I just want to know when actual, y’know, progressives and traditional liberal pundits will be showing up in greater numbers, now that conservatism has been repudiated. I mean, those guys will get less airtime now that the GOP is completely out of power, right?
Right?
That must similar to the rule that says any time a black guy loses to a white guy, there is one and only one reason that explains it: pure unadulterated racism (rule is temporarily suspended if black candidate in question is a Republican.)
Concrete example of your contention that refutes or equivocates the O’Reilly-based evidence on display, Farris? Or are you just expelling hot gas?
“anotherbozo:

Beats me. I didn’t stick around in case they explained. Might have lost my breakfast.
Quaker: duly noted. My math tells me that Obama had to be one of the better prospects in our history to overcome his pigmentation, his last name AND his middle name, not to mention the ever-scary Jeremiah Wright.
winning national candidate = 10
black skin -5
name resembling “Osama” -2
Muslim middle name -3
conclusion: Obama must’ve been a 20 to wind up with a net of 10.
Far be it for me to speak for O’Reilly but if I had to guess, I’d say he’s basing his hypothesis on the poll numbers that put McCain up in mid-September.
I didn’t see the segment in question. Life’s too short to watch morning TV, especially morning TV featuring O’Reilly.

If “black” is used to cover other people of color (as the term often is used in the UK), this applies to Republicans’ reaction to Jindal’s losing his first political race. They blamed it on racist whites. The only exception seems to have been Rod Dreher, who shared my theory that Jindal lost because he hadn’t learned to cover up the fact that he was a Rhodes Scholar.
“I didn’t see the segment in question.”
But you are here commenting on it.
“Life’s too short to watch morning TV…”
But obviously not too short to talk about subjects you know nothing about.
“That must similar to the rule that says any time a black guy loses to a white guy, there is one and only one reason that explains it: pure unadulterated racism”
Two words… Southern. Strategy.
Look it up.
It’s not the only reason, but it is a HUGE reason.
