No Elections For A While
Tweet
To reiterate what I said before, I just don’t have the energy to write about elections for a while. We just went through one of the longest ones in history, and unlike idiot Chris Matthews, I don’t think life is a campaign. We have a few races to finish out the year – Georgia, Minnesota, and a close one in Maryland’s first district (where a positive result would leave Maryland with only ONE member of congress for the GOP). But I have no interest in writing about 2010 and especially not 2012.
We’ve got to breathe now, and chronicle the beginning of the Obama presidency.
Oh, that feels good to write.

HA!
I can’t wait till 2010. Democrats didn’t get to 60 this year, at least it doesn’t look like they did. (Coleman might have broken the law in Minnesota while Alaska also has some… issues.)
Granted, I would like to talk about governing for a while, but I love elections.
In response to the bit about MD’s first congressional district, WYPR just said that since they started counting absentee ballots Krotovil’s lead has more than doubled!!!!!! That will feel like a real victory to me. Gilchrest was one thing – he’s a moderate and good guy. But Andy Harris? No f-ing way.
Hear, hear, Oliver.
