I spent the evening driving from polling place to polling place passing out sandwiches and picking up coffee urns that had been loaned to the democratic poll workers by Caribou Coffee in Fairfax. I drove out to Fairfax at about 8:30 to return them and didn't get home until 9:30. <a href="http://www.historycooperative.org/journals/cp/vol-01/no-04/slavery/verdelle.shtml" rel="nofollow">A. J. Verdelle</a> was with me (here's <a href="http://www.lannan.org/lf/bios/detail/aj-verdelle/" rel="nofollow">another link</a>--she'd come over to Alexandria from DC to volunteer. We listened to the election coverage on WAMU and about went nuts when they called Ohio for Obama. I will never forget that feeling. I've decided to take the day off to attend the inaugural parade. How cool that you were there!
