See, I was agreeing that evicting poll watchers was wrong. But I didn’t express any opinion that the story was bogus. I had my doubts since the story on wizbang only ever referred to “a judge” without giving a name or court which seemed too much like the kinds of unspecific sourcing you see in snopes-disproved emails. But I didn’t express that view.

1) The poll watchers story was credible on first blush BECAUSE IT HAPPENED BEFORE, and nothing was done about it. To assume that the story was bogus from the outset was flying in the face of reality.

2) If you recall the Rathergate mess, the catchphrase then was “fake, but accurate.” When this one turned out to be bogus, I freely admitted that my instinctive response was wrong — but, again, I say justifiable.

3) What you call “changing the facts,” I call a rhetorical flourish — using parallel construction to make my points.

4) I’ve NEVER bought into the “crypto-Muslim” bullshit. I also slammed a lot of people who pushed that one, the “foreign birth” bit, and the “Michelle Obama ‘whitey’ tape.” Don’t THINK of tarring me with any of those. I’ve always based my opposition to Obama on what he has said and done — and, more often, what he did not say and do.

And before you twist that last one around, I mean his silences and inactions when he SHOULD have been saying and doing things.

So Philly didn’t kick out the Republican poll watchers this year. It was entirely plausible, as they did just that in 2004 and 2006. As I said, go to YouTube and search for Carlos Mantos — he’s on video boasting of how his precinct was “100% Democrat” and therefore the Republican poll watchers had NO BUSINESS there. So apparently they didn’t try it this year — good for them.

I bet Mr. Mantos will be heavily involved in union organizing once the Democrats abolish the right of workers to decide on a union with a secret ballot, though. He’s got the credentials for it.

I’m waiting for more details from Philadelphia, where it’s reported that the GOP poll-watchers are being evicted from the polls… just like in 2004 and 2006.

In most places, 100% voter turnout is a fantasy. In Dixville Notch, it is the norm.

And today, they outdid themselves — 110% voter turnout.

Of the reported 19 registered voters, 21 showed up and cast ballots.

I didn’t think ACORN got up that far into the White Mountains…
