"The Redskins have a chance to put the final nail in the Cowboy’s coffin when they come back from their bye. That would be sweet. Monday night’s game on national tv would be an excellent shot for the ‘Skins to be recognized as a power team, we’ll see."

These are two unrelated events. The Redskins and the Cowboys play on Sunday night in Week 11, while the Redskins' only upcoming Monday night game is tonight, against the glorious Pittsburgh Steelers.

It is possible, although not very probable, that Washington will defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers in such a manner that the Redskins would be recognized as a "power" team. This is not to say they are a bad team -- they are quite good -- but they have not yet achieved the level of domineering performance we have seen so far from the New York Giants. Until that happens, Washington cannot be considered a true "power" team, particularly in the NFC East.

Of course, since the Steelers could very well blow Washington out of the water Monday night, it might be some time before Washington solidifies its position as a contender.

That said, if you want to beat Dallas to a pulp, fine with me -- and pretty much everyone else in the United States. Dallas. Ew.
