If you think Obama reads the name of every person who contributes to his campaign, you’ve allowed your desire to find negatives about him to overtake any semblance of reality, and I find that very sad. Ditto if you think the person whose job that actually is knows the name of every member of Obama’s extended family and which of them are American citizens or permanent residents, and which aren’t.

Not even Obama’s aunt realized she was illegal. Visa expirations are hard to track, you know. This is a non-story that deserves to be buried.

Because Obama isn’t trusting. He does a check of identity after the donation is received instead of before. That doesn’t mean he is more trusting; it means he is putting the burden on his campaign to do the check instead of on the donor.
