…and another anchor who’s a total weenie. Where was “To the contrary, I don’t have the faintest idea who you mean, Michael.”

So many of these wimps don’t call their guests’ bluffs. That goes for Matthews, Brokaw, you name them…

pick your metaphor – but the bigger story I see developing is the media’s sudden interest in taking a remote interest as to the voracity, validity, or source of a claim. I think they’re finally realizing that the gig is up and a good chunk of Americans are over their carnival sideshows framed as “news”.

It’s maddening to me that the MSM has gone so far in the ditch on the right that they view KO and Rachel as far left, when in fact those two are the only ones out there that bother to fact check and push back on bullsh!t.

I thought I was obsessed. I thought I had followed every red herring, every WrightRezkoAyers bullshit story, every fakeass talking point these MFs could spew.
But I still don’t know who the hell this “number Two” person is that this pudgy little fucker is talking about.
If he’s talking about Michelle my head will explode, I swear to God.

  4. Parthenon says:

This of course just proves that the media is in the tank. Reality, left-wing bias, etc.

  5. Vanessa says:

I think he was talking about Rev. Wright, but he has instructions from the McCain campaign not to use that name. Do I think Rev Wright is anti-semetic? I don’t really know and don’t really care, but I think this guy thinks he is and that’s who he was referring to.

  6. Vanessa says:

I know someone who works for the McCain campaign (family friend) and the “Rev Wright card” is a contentious subject. Many people in the campaign think Rev Wright should, once again, be used when attacking Obama, but McCain doesn’t want to use the Rev Wright card. So I’m guessing this guy couldn’t say the name Rev Wright because he has explicit instructions not to.

  7. PG says:

    Bruce Henry,

The general consensus seems to be that Goldfarb meant the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, but he couldn’t say the name because McCain had marked Wright as off-limits. So Goldfarb will smear Obama by claiming that he is close to anti-Semites, while clinging to the letter of the law by having Wright be He Who Must Not Be Named.

It reminds me of when I was little and Mom would say we couldn’t watch TV until our homework was done, so I would turn on the TV, sit with my back to the TV holding a mirror, and watch the image on the mirror; then if Mom asked if I’d watched TV, I could “honestly” say no. I suspect Goldfarb’s mama never whupped him for trying to dodge the rules, and today we see the result of his not getting that ass-whupping he needed.

  8. MR says:

    Bloggers shouldn’t be spokespeople.

I love the anchor’s totally sarcastic “THANKS SO MUCH” at the end.

  9. Vanessa says:

p.s. I know that it’s common knowledge that McCain has put Rev Wright off limits, just mentioned my “inside info” as confirmation of the above theory.

  10. Mike says:

You know his punk ass wanted to say Jeremiah Wright!

  11. Bruce Henry says:

So is there a quote out there from Wright that can be construed as anti-semitic? What is McCain waiting for if so?
    Brainwashed zombies.
Or do I have something to be concerned about?

  12. PG says:

Rev. Wright has given a lot of praise and even an award to Farrakhan. He has criticized Israel/ Zionism, saying, “We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians. … We supported Zionism shamelessly while ignoring the Palestinians and branding anybody who spoke out against it as being anti-Semitic.”

I’m not sure this makes Wright an anti-Semite, but I think he is very disregardful of the history of how Jews have been treated in the world, the reasons for the establishment of Israel and the reasons for the U.S.’s continued friendship with and defense of Israel. However, since all of that is too complicated for a McCain spokesman, who like McCain just wants to know “Who’s the villain?” then I’ll summarize by saying that if people are to be categorized as either anti-Semites (an absurd misnomer when talking about Israel/ Palestine — they’re ALL Semites) or pro-Israel, Wright isn’t pro-Israel.

  13. PG says:

This is similarly, by the way, to the latest line of authorized-by-McCain attack, which is to accuse Rashid Khalidi, the Edward Said chair of Middle Eastern studies at Columbia U (and acknowledged even by CampusWatch as teaching his subject in an unbiased fashion), of being allied with terrorists. McCain evidently forgot that while he was chair of IRI, he gave Khalidi’s organization a big grant for studying conditions in the Palestinian Territories. Obama went to dinner with a “terrorist ally”; McCain gave the guy money to carry out his work.

Khalidi is also the guy who supposedly funded Obama’s Harvard Law education, because apparently Obama wouldn’t have been able to afford that himself. This is according to people too stupid to know that the Obamas just recently paid off their law school loans, and that anyone with a decent credit rating can afford to go to Harvard Law because someone who gets into an Ivy League law school is one of the best credit risks out there; lenders know you’ll probably make lots of money and pay back the loan, and even if you don’t, it’s government-guaranteed. You can even get loans specifically to tide you over the two months you’re studying for the bar exam, before you can start work.

I got your Number 2 right here, ya smug little prick. Come and get it.

  15. Bruce says:

You know, there will come a time when we will look at Bush and Cheney as the PROTECTORS of decency and civility in American political life.

  16. Allie says:

Given that Palin’s own church supports Jews for Jesus, a deeply anti-Semitic group which advocates the wholesale conversion of Jews, I have to wonder how and why Goldfarb even thinks he can claim that it is Obama who “pals around with anti-Semites.”

I am glad that the mainstream media has finally begun to ask hard questions but I cannot help but wonder why they failed to do this years ago (starting with Ronald Reagan’s claim, which was later revealed to be fabricated, about a “welfare queen” driving around in a Cadillac).

  17. jr says:

where do they find all these Drudgeian jerk off artists?

  18. Prae says:

Ahhh, and here we find a rather failed attempt at implying a connection which simply just does not exist. Moreover, I am quite disappointed that the anchor did not call Mr. Goldfarb’s brutally obvious bluff.
Trying to entertain the obviously impossible notion that Goldfarb was indeed referring to Wright, one then has to remember the pains to which Obama distanced himself from Wright.
At the end of the day fodder is simply that, fodder.
With regards to the antisemitism ploy , an issue of more dire interest is the fact that Palin’s church supports Jews for Jesus.
Michael Goldfarb, you are a smug little insect and much too full of yourself.
