Sally Ride, the first American woman in space, endorsed the Democratic candidate on Wednesday in an op-ed published in the Orlando Sentinel.

Thanks, OW. While I just got home and watched the Obamerical, this was the big story of the day for me that I saw before noon CT today. Children can reach for the stars…Obama must be pleased to have Sally Ride’s vote.
Cue Republicans: “Who cares what astronauts think? They should stick to space exploration.”
Those were incredible speeches delivered last night. I really do believe that change is coming and we’re at a pivotal point in history. Just the overwhelming support from the global front is so promising.
