MSNBC beat CNN in October. That never happened until they added liberal Rachel Maddow to the lineup.
Shocker.
Of course, considering how NBC News allows the right-wing to dictate things, no doubt they’ll cancel Maddow and Olbermann in light of their success.

Joe Scar was on prime time for 4 years with 0.3-esque ratings
I did enjoy the spot poll that put KO and Rachel ahead of Bill O on the day he signed his new contract! I kinda feel that these two will keep their spots as long as they keep performing in the ratings.
I’m gay for Rachel.
Assuming the polls stay where they are, MSNBC is about to run out of material. You can’t continually rail against the Republicans if they’re not actually in charge of anything.
Oh they will not run out material.
Think about it.
Palin will still hold office and so will McCain.
They will disect everything they do.
And what about the losers like Clinton, Huckabee, Romney, Paul, Barr, Edwards, etc…
They will find a target to destroy.
Oh, for fuck’s sake. MSNBC employs Keith Olbermann therefore they are practically Pravda. They also employ Joe frickin’ Scarbrough.
I realize it’s ancient history, but they canceled Phil Donahue, their highest rated program, because he was “too liberal”.
You can’t continually rail against the Republicans if they’re not actually in charge of anything.
See, you never quite got it. It wasn’t a matter of railing against them because they were in charge, it was a matter of railing against them because they were so unbelievably inept at whatever they were in charge of.
You think this current strain of Republican will stop being corrupt, screeching bullies with heavy-handed, black-and-white rhetoric about pro-Americans and anti-Americans just because they get thrashed in an election? They will get worse.
Maddow and Olbermann’s job will be to keep the GOP absurdity front and center so that the voting public never becomes complacent enough to think that maybe the next George Bush (or Sarah Palin) sounds like a great idea.
