Vanity Fair magazine and the National Security News Service claim to have knowledge ‘developed from first-hand sources’ of a car crash that involved then-Lt. McCain at the main gate of a Virginia naval base in 1964, according to legal filings. The incident has been largely, if not entirely, kept from the public. And in documents suing the Navy to release pertinent information, lawyers for the NS News Service allege that a cover-up may be at play.
‘Plaintiffs have also obtained documents showing that law enforcement officers were ordered back to the accident scene to retrieve personal physical effects. The Navy has never publicly acknowledged this information,’ one document reads. ‘This request involves federal government activity, as it addresses what may be an attempt by the Navy to protect by concealment the involvement of a former Navy officer, sitting Senator and Presidential candidate in a serious incident involving the injury or death of another human being.’
Oh stop!
Hmm. Wonder if anyone’s thought to go through the obituaries for that time. Or traffic accident reports. There should be public printed evidence (or, more likely, clues to evidence) somewhere for such an event.

“what may be an attempt”
Go away and come back when there is something of substance to report.

One would think. But why go looking for it when it’s so much easier to run with teh vaugeness.
Tut tut. Shameful, Oliver.
I don’t see the relevance. After all, Obama was only three years old when this alleged incident may or may not have happened.
J.
It is relevant. Is there anything McCain hasn’t crashed including, the economy? A government cover up and a victim in who-knows what kind of accident… alcohol involved? We don’t know because they won’t release the info. The fact that they won’t release it makes us think it’s worse than it probably is. The man is running for President – we need to know.
Its amazing how similar Bush and McCain’s early value systems appear to be similar from the onset. Their lack of aptitudes in normal learning environments, poor performance on standardized tests, parental ability to deliver them from trouble all stem from their families position within the military industrial complex, a situation that exists today after all these years. I think everyone should be compelled to serve in the service, then leave. No more career warriors. They serve our country poorly.
I agree, I want to know what I maybe, future president was up to, or if he was an alcoholic. I don’t know about you, but it’s important for me.
The rumor is that McCain may have killed someone in this accident and then it would be relevant. Even when the election is over and he creeps back to his Senate seat, I hope the truth comes out. God knows he’s tried cramming all these lies down the American people’s throat, I for one would consider it just desserts for him.
