    Mighty Sparrow was born in Grenada. Grew up in Trinidad.Just wanted to set the record stright.

    Sparrow is Trinidadian, not Jamaican.

    I’m well aware Sparrow isn’t Jamaican. I didn’t say he was. He’s very popular in Jamaica, though.

    And ths is why good grammar is important. :-P You should have said, “As a person with Jamaican roots, I think this is pretty cool.” I don’t think the people correcting you on Sparrow’s nationality are aware of your heritage.
