President Bush can clear all of this up by using an executive order before the electoral college meets . The way in which the Hawaii governor is securing the birth certificate reminds me of the way George Wallace blocked a school house door in 1963. President George Bush needs to show leadership the same way President John F Kennedy did and order Governor Linda Lingle to give up the birth certificate to federal authorities

Obama has shown what he is required to show in order to demonstrate that he was born in Hawaii. It’s over, John G. Why should he do more than what is required of him in this respect? What credible people think that he was born in Kenya? As usual, for the folks on this Obama wasn’t born in HI, you can’t read. You provided a link, and here’s what it says about late births:

“Who is Eligible to Apply for Late Registration?

As provided by law (HRS §§338-15, 338-29.5), the following persons may apply for late registration:

Any person born in Hawaii who is one year old or older and whose birth has not been previously registered in Hawaii, or that person’s parent, guardian, next of kin, or older person acting for that person and having knowledge of the facts of birth may request the registration of a late certificate of birth, except that an application will not be accepted for a deceased person.”

Note: WHO IS ONE YEAR OLD OR OLDER. So, how do you respond to that. Are you saying that the Cert of Birth is a Late Registration, and do you have expert sources (not some flake on the internet) to assert that, or are you saying that the child registered as being born in Aug 1961 was actually born at a different date, and do you have expert sources (not some flake on internet) to assert that.

This whole thing has to be one of the stupidest things (and I do, as a rather expert genealogist, and one-time law school attendee, but career specialist in “burden of proof” and “legal procedures and pleadings”, waste my own time on this trying to hammer some sense into folks’ thick heads. I just hope that Berg gets hit with some heavy monetary sanctions on this).

Isn’t it funny how so many complain about people trying to get Obama off the ballot, yet they forget how Obama won his senate seat. He took every one of his opponents to court and had them removed from the ballot on technicalities and won by default. Payback is a bitch.
So many people are trapped in the blue and red team mentality that they are willing sacrifice all principles to have their team win. If the other team does it, it’s wrong but if your team does it it’s totally acceptable. I know there are so many people on the blue team that actually don’t care if he is constitutionally viable or not. They just care about winning, and the red team is no different. As an independent I really don’t care who wins, but I do care about the constitution. I don’t think a birth certificate is asking too much. I agree with many people on this site. Just end it. Show the certificate and end it. Otherwise this will never go away.
