Superman Brings His Awesome To Gotham

This cartoon explains what I’m always saying about Superman vs. the other heroes, especially the unpowered ones like Batman. Love it.

Superman’s kind of a dick.
Also Batman talks like Nathan Explosion.
The drawback, of course, is a million lazy writers who can’t come up with a legitimate challenge for Superman without whipping out the Kryptonite.
…Not, of course, to suggest there hasn’t been decades’ worth of bad storytelling on Batman, too.
I read an interview with Morrison the other day where he notes that Batman’s more immediately relatable because he’s an adolescent fantasy, whereas Superman’s more of a mature one.
I think of it like something Chuck Jones once said about Bugs and Daffy. Within us are dreams and realisations; Batman is a realisation. Superman is a dream.
This Superman is a bit of a super-douche. That said, throwing the Joker into space is awesome, “Allllleey-ooop”.
Powered and unpowered types should not mix, except to generate hilarity.
Love it. The details are great: Tetris, Batman stuttering, etc.
Parthenon,
Was it you or Duros who said Zoolander was worth a watch? You or s/he were right. The 2001 scene had me in tears.
That was me.
Mystery Men, too.
