Apple is publicly opposing Proposition 8 and making a donation of $100,000 to the No on 8 campaign. Apple was among the first California companies to offer equal rights and benefits to our employees’ same-sex partners, and we strongly believe that a person’s fundamental rights — including the right to marry — should not be affected by their sexual orientation. Apple views this as a civil rights issue, rather than just a political issue, and is therefore speaking out publicly against Proposition 8.
It kind of blows my mind that its 2008 in the 21st century and the blinding obviousness of this bigotry hasn’t settled in.
I wonder if they’ll get the blackmail letter from Yes on 8 too.
Excellent. Of course, their machines still cost an arm and a leg. But glad the money’s going somewhere useful.
Kudos to Apple for sticking it to the rapture bunnies
That’s the most fantastic political ad ever. Well, besides that one of Mike Gravel throwing a rock into the water.
I need a new computer. My next one is a Mac. This is a done deal.
