    When Republican officials were queried, they said they had no concerns about any illegitimate charges and said they considered the matter closed.

    TPM had a good point about this. If someone gives you $150,000 in clothing, that’s a gift, and that’s tax-able.

    And no, saying your’re going to give it to charity is not a loop-hole.

    Strange fact: the highest paid McCain/Palin campaign staffer is Palin’s makeup artist. It makes wonder if they are trying to hide McCain’s makeup bill under her.
