    OMG!

  2. Michael says:

She made that statement in the debate about expanding the power of the VP. That statement was lost in the mess of fighting over he performance in the debate but I knew it would return. Elementary civics class students would know the right answer.

  3. Rheinhard says:

    Just another “gotcha” question…

Besides, don’t you “reality-based” folks realize Cheney has completely redefined the VP role anyway?

  4. SpiderJ says:

True, Rheinhard. She also neglected to misinform the second graders about how the office of VP is the fourth branch of government, with the power to check without being balanced.

  5. Jaim says:

She won’t give a press conference, but she’ll answer questions from third graders.

    What an idiot.

Maybe before she heads back to Alaska she could do an episode of “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader.” It’s on FOX. Perfect. Please somebody help the world.

Sarah Palin really is George Bush, Jr. stupid. There. I (virtually) said it.

  8. Rudy says:

Anybody catch Pat Buchanan on Hardball, backpedaling like a maniac, trying to justify it by saying she didn’t need to explain the job correctly because she was dumbing it down for a 3rd grader? Nice try, but the correct answer was actually simpler than her rambling. Poor ol’ Pat’s got a major stiffy for Sarah.

  9. fafaroo says:

This is how “John McCain. Serious.” became “John McCain. Serious?”

  10. jr says:

She spent all her time in school thinking about the rapture and killing animals

I’d be appalled at the idea that we should have to “dumb down” civics information for our children in the first place. I understand the use of euphemism when you’re explaining the birds and the bees, but the office of Vice President is hardly a scandalous subject…unless you really look at what Cheney’s done to it.

  12. TroyJMorris says:

Wow. She even talked down to him as though he was a child. Yeesh.

That’s it! A press conference OF THIRD GRADERS!

trying to justify it by saying she didn’t need to explain the job correctly because she was dumbing it down for a 3rd grader?

Yeah, except, as Keith pointed out, this is her 4th attempt and she still can’t stick the landing.
Buchannan is another one who is slipping slowly into the dustbin of history.
