It’s good for a wider audience to see the sort of bile Limbaugh produces on a daily basis.

  1. GLV says:

Did he call him “Genital Powell?”

  2. anotherbozo says:

hell, I wasn’t convinced, but when he shouted–that did it! You can’t argue with that reasoning.

  3. ed says:

The modern Republican party since Nixon. Heckofa job, people.

  4. j mccann says:

total # of unqualified white liberals powell has endorsed for president – zero.

total # of unqualified black liberals powell has endorsed for president – one.

clearly, this is racism on the part of powell.

  5. Mark Adams says:

Yep, “Genital” Powell. That’s what he said.

  6. total # of unqualified white liberals powell has endorsed for president – zero.

    Oh really?

I’m tired of your racist rants around here, but I keep you around as an example of what we’re fighting for.

  7. Duros Hussein 62 says:

    “Totally about race!”

General Powell’s own words to the contrary, I guess.

Fuck you, Rush-bo. You are obsolete.

  8. Quaker in a Basement says:

clearly, this is racism on the part of powell.

Really mccann, haven’t you had enough time to learn the actual meaning of that word? Surely you’ve had an opportunity to check a dictionary or even ask someone more knowledgeable (Just flag down the next passerby!)

Now you just scoot along and do your homework, okay?

  9. Carl C says:

It seems that today’s RepugliKKKan party wants to not only bring back the Cold War, but take us back to the “Dred Scott Decision” of 1857! Ironic that the “party of Lincoln” is now the party of the slaveowner-wanna-be’s!

  10. LLL says:

LOL. Rush is far from obsolete. I’m amazed at how high his ratings are. Between Rush, Hannity, and other AM voices, they reach 40,000,000 listeners a week.

It’s Corsi, Andy Martin, and Philip Berg who are the biggest thorn in Obama’s side.

Corsi is out of control. He’s so sleazy looking.

Andy Martin filed a lawsuit on Friday in Hawaii asking the judge to open Obama’s birth records.

Philip Berg in Philly is another problem over citizenship.

  11. Socraticsilence says:

How the Limbaugh, “Its race” types don’t apply their amazing powers of deduction to Joe Lieberman’s endorsement of John McCain– I mean he was down with the Democratic Nominees every year, hell he was even Al Gore’s running mate, until you know a Black man (or a woman– depending on the date of his endorsement) was the choice of the Democratic Party, then “its a right if its all white!” Let’s not forget Obama wasn’t just any Black guy, but the African American who campaigned for him in 2006, and who was his I guess “mentoree” in the Senate– so its seems (at least according to Limbaugh’s “Logic”) that CT’s senior senator is okay with a African-Americans serving in the Senate but if one rises above his station or gets “uppity” then well, its time to cross party lines and back the old white guy.

  12. SaveFarris says:

That means according to Oliver, George W. Bush is … a liberal?!?

  13. Socraticsilence says:

LLL- Somehow I don’t think a liar (Corsi), an Anti-Semite (Martin) and a crazy (Berg), are threats to Obama. At least no more than the Swiftboaters who are against McCain– for his “treason” in Hanoi and his “betrayal” of POWs in the 1980s– are a threat to John.

  14. Sean D. Martin says:

That means according to Oliver, George W. Bush is … a liberal?!?

Well he certainly isn’t a conservative.

  15. Quaker in a Basement says:

That means according to Oliver, George W. Bush is … a liberal?!?

You been off the planet the last couple of weeks, Farris? Bush has nationalized the banks, youbetcha!

  16. -=topper=- says:

J mccann is a troll. Seems that we all have one. But if McCain does win, we’ll lose and eventually so will they. They won’t be able to ride the storm out. The practices if Bush will continue and not even they will be able to distort it.

But they are pathetic, they have blamed Carter and in that minorities for the current mortgage crash. No it couldn’t have anything to do with some 240000 jobs lost in a single month and countless over the last few months, no the current crises has nothing to do with a persons ability to pay.

    Man they are pathetic.

  17. Bruce Henry says:

So tell us, Little Miss Mccann: how is it racist when Powell endorses Obama (a conservative black guy endorsing a liberal black guy), but it’s not racist when Lieberman endorses McCain (a liberal white guy endorsing a conservative white guy)?
It’s a simple question for a simple-minded person. How is one racist and the other isn’t?

  18. fafaroo says:

“How is one racist and the other isn’t?”

Well, it’s only racist if people of a race are involved. Didn’t you know that white isn’t a race?

  19. Jaim says:

If Powell had endorsed McCain, methinks Rush would be whistling a different toon about race.

But that’s the modern Republican party for you — step out of line, get slimed. Just ask David Frum and Christopher Buckley. Big tent my ass.

  20. j mccann says:

How is it racist for me to point out that something is racist?

That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.

  21. Duros Hussein 62 says:

Didn’t you know that white isn’t a race?

Is being Jewish a race or a religion?

  22. fafaroo says:

“How is it racist for me to point out that something is racist? That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.”

And what exactly were you pointing out? That Powell endorsed Obama because they’re both black? Um, how do you know that?

  23. jr says:

Limbaugh is as racist as Dr. William Pierce ever was

  24. j mccann says:

Powell is a life-long republican, has never endorsed a democrat for president, and all of a sudden….Whoops! Time for a democrat….who just happens to be black…..and over a former military man also. This reeks of racial loyalty and bigotry.

I’m not saying that’s the only reason, but I’m sure as with most of the racists in black america, it’s a definite factor. Many in racist black america would have endorsed any black candidate with a (d) behind his or her name, regardless of their record or associations. Marion Barry ring a bell? The racist blacks in that area voted for a crackhead. Ray Nagin? Kwame Kilpatrick? Christ, I’ll bet Flavor Flav would probably get elected in some racist black districts.

I’m just sayin…..you’re intentionally choosing to ignore the obvious becasue as a democrat, you are not permitted to say anything, no matter how truthful or obvious it is, if it could in any way shape or form offend a single member of one of your protected demographics.

    You’re paralyzed by political correctness.

You people need to start watching South Park or something. Go watch some of Jim Norton’s stand up too. Maybe you’ll learn to laugh sometime instead of constantly walking around looking for shit to be offended by.

I’ll bet your a miserable bunch to hang out with too.

No humor…..just non-offensive knock knock jokes, lattes, and the same tired old smug remarks about conservatives. Ugh. This is a blog full of screeching Garofalos, and if many of you on this blog truly are as sensitive about things as you claim to be, you’re in for miserable, unhappy lives. God, I really don’t even have to try to rattle cages here. It…….just…….happens!!!!!

    LMAO!

    Win.

  25. Zappa says:

J Mccann is able to read minds? It may be simple for him to say it is all about race, but Gen Powell gave a well thought out answer as to why he was going against party lines to support Obama.

One day it may be that we wont have to even consider race as an issue – an Obama presidency will go a long way toward that.

Mccann is on the wrong side of history.

Who would even want to hang out with him anyway? WTF is up with saying random people through the internets are a fun bunch or not then claiming a ‘win’.

  26. Parthenon says:

Powell is a life-long republican, has never endorsed a democrat for president, and all of a sudden….Whoops! Time for a democrat….who just happens to be black…..and over a former military man also. This reeks of racial loyalty and bigotry.

It’s obvious that you either didn’t read or ignored utterly Powell’s lengthy and specific justification for his endorsement.

  27. fafaroo says:

“I’m just sayin…..you’re intentionally choosing to ignore the obvious …”

Ah yes. The obvious. When a black man endorses a black man for political office, its racism. When a white man endorses a white man for political office it’s all about character and integrity. Now that you’ve cleared that up for me, I can just feel the bitterness and liberal anger melting away …

  28. fafaroo says:

“I’ll bet your a miserable bunch to hang out with too.”

Wow. That rant really veered off course pretty fast, mccann. Tell me, when you were writing the first graph, did you feel your brain being damaged?

  29. merl says:

my ditto-head FIL argues politics the same way. He starts yelling. I tell him, “Well you’re loud, you must be right”. I think he’s catching on the sarcasm.

  30. You know he won the argument. How? Because he wrote “Win” at the end.

    Win.

  31. Bruce Henry says:

Little Miss Mccann still failed to address the racism of Lieberman’s endorsement of McCain.

Oh that’s right, only blacks are still racist. Whites suddenly got over it when affirmative action was invented.

Since then, white people have been oh so very colorblind.

  32. Syco says:

What the hell is black racist america?

  33. Amused Observer says:

Powell’s views on legalized racial discrimination, affirmative action, indicate an ability to place race above other values.

It is with great amusement I note that the majority of commentators here so whole heartedly agree with Colin Powell’s views and values regarding presidential candidates. And they try to make fun out of Limbaugh for describing any discrepencies in Powells 100% non racial political viewpoint. Too funny.

  34. Duros Hussein62 says:

Many in racist black america would have endorsed any black candidate with a (d) behind his or her name, regardless of their record or associations.

Jesse Jackson ring a bell? Al Sharpton?

Christ, I’ll bet Flavor Flav would probably get elected in some racist black districts.

    I’ll take that bet.

  35. Duros Hussein62 says:

mccann, you need to go back and read or listen to Powell’s endorsment a couple more times.

Race has nothing to do with it.

  36. J McCann:

I have heard women say they backed Hillary Clinton because it’s time a woman held our highest office. Palin supporters also cite her gender.

As for your Marion Barry/Ray Nagin argument, white voters elected President Bush twice (a former coke user, same drug as Barry), John McCain for the U.S. Senate (left first wife for a trophy wife when she was hospitalized, current wife stole meds)and President Clinton (womanizer w/ Flowers, Willey, Jones and Lewinsky).

    What of it?

  37. fafaroo says:

“Powell’s views on legalized racial discrimination, affirmative action, indicate an ability to place race above other values.”

Some others might say fairness or justice, but whatever …

  38. Amused Observer says:

Racial Discrimination = Justice or Fairness

Makes perfect sense, perhaps George Orwell put it best.

All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others

  39. Bruce Henry says:

Conservatives were shocked – SHOCKED- to find out that there was such a thing as racial discrimination in this country. See, that had all gone away, way back in the day. Sometime around 1865….or was it 1965?
But then affirmative action came along. WHOA! All of a sudden racial preferences were JUST PLAIN WRONG.
That’s when conservatives remembered Dr. King’s remarks about character being more important than skin color. Now, see, Dr. King was really a Republican all along!
These guys make me laugh. 400 years of white racism, imperialism, and genocide is something that should be “moved beyond, and put behind us.” But 30 years of trying to even the playing field a little is “legalized discimination, naked racism.”
And, Amused Observer, perhaps you can answer the question that Miss Mccann won’t: What’s the difference between Liberman’s McCain endorsement and Powell’s Obama endorsement? Don’t give me any of that “life-long Republican” crap either. If you’ve read Powell’s autobiograpy you know that’s not true.

  40. When I voted for Al Gore in 2000 I did it because he was white.

  41. j mccann says:

Sad thing is that Flavor Flav could probanly do a better job than Barry, Nagin, or Kilpatrick.

    LMAO!

    Win.

  42. j mccann says:

LMAO @ fafaroo’s stupidity and racism!

“Powell’s views on legalized racial discrimination, affirmative action, indicate an ability to place race above other values.”

    And then fafaroo says this….

Some others might say fairness or justice, but whatever …

So, discrimination against whitey = good.

Discrimination against anyone else = bad.

I think Amused Observer had it right. To fafaroo, all animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.

LMFAO @ fafaroo the bitter racist.

  43. Nimrod Gently says:

Go back to counting cinema tickets, McCann.

    L. M. G. F. O.

  44. fafaroo says:

“All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.”

Right, guys. I’m sure that Powell supports affirmative action because he believes that blacks are superior to whites. Sheesh.

I love it when right wingers play the victim. So adorable.

  45. j mccann says:

Yes fafaroo…I’m sure you “love it when right wingers play the victim.” You should be all too familiar with it, considering that’s one of the foundations of modern american leftist politics – the “victim card.”

Waaaaaaahhh! Mommy mommy dat mans saids sumthin mean to meee! He tolds me dat i shuldnt gets da job ifs I not qualified! Dats racist or sexissss or sumptin and i beez a victim now! where’s barack at i needs hims to saves me! Waaaaaahhhh!

    LMAO!

    Win win.

  46. Duros Hussein 62 says:

It seems Joy has picked up a nasty Internet Tradition.

    Epic FAIL.

  47. Parthenon says:

    Win win.

Sure. Take your cliches and go on home now.

  48. Bruce Henry says:

    Ummm, mccann? Lieberman?

  49. Bruce Henry says:

Pitiful attempt at dialect, too, Little Miss. Ever read Huckleberry Finn?

  50. Bruce Henry says:

Treasure Island? Hardy Boys? My Pet Goat? Hop on Pop?

  51. fafaroo says:

“Mommy mommy dat mans saids sumthin mean to meee!”

    Like I said, adorable.

  52. Duros Hussein 62 says:

    My Pet Atilla the None

  53. barstoolcadaver says:

“Live from the Playmobile Situation Room, it’s Toucan Mccanns Parrot Review, and believe you me, Polly wants a whole lot of cracker”.

  54. Zython says:

jmac, people hate you not because you’re white, it’s because you’re an idiot.

  55. fafaroo says:

    “… it’s because you’re an idiot.”

Oh. I was going with crazy. Whatever.

  56. [...] while McCain had previously called Powell the greatest living hero during the 2000 election cycle. Rush Limbaugh says it was totally about race, asking “what inexperienced white liberals has Powell endorsed [...]
