Crazy, Stupid Woman Rips Up Guy’s Obama Sign

Hey look, it’s the base on the attack again. She must live in the real America of McCain/Palin where its sane to destroy a sign on someone’s private property.

Obviously ripping up a sign like that right in front of the guy (in a wheelchair!) who made it is not cool, but I’ll have to say that the sign’s maker doesn’t come off as the most reasonable guy in the world either.

I assume from that accent that this was shot somewhere in the Mid-Atlantic. Where?

  3. ed says:

    Lancaster, PA.

  4. beemer says:

Definitely a deplorable act, but it’s from way back in April of this year. Not a result of McPalin’s race-baiting; more a reason why it works.

  5. PG says:

Sigh… and now Sarah Palin makes absolutely clear that she doesn’t know what the word “socialism” means.

“Barack Obama calls it spreading the wealth,” she said. “Joe Biden calls higher taxes patriotic. But Joe the plumber and Ed the dairy man, I believe that they think that it sounds more like socialism. Friends, now is no time to experiment with socialism.”

Gov. Palin might want to explain that to the Bush Administration, which seems to think now is the perfect time to engage in government ownership of a major sector of the economy, i.e. the financial sector.

And tomorrow I will have a picture and entry on my blog showing how some dickhead scumbag Obama supporter decided it would be cool to spray paint a red circle with a line through it over an elderly man’s McCain/Palin sign. He tried to get the red circle out and couldn’t so it looks like a big pink blob on the sign. I told him I would get him another since his son, who was visiting from out of state got him the first one.

So such behavior is not limited to McCain supporters.

I myself have seen signs defaced at a roughly equal proportion. Our local paper did a story about how both campaign’s signs are getting swiped, but I’m not sure how many of each there were. Out of fairness or the lack of enough resources to accurately ascertain the figures, the paper didn’t indicate how many of each campaign’s signs were stolen.

Perhaps not, as your unsupported blog comment suggests. But the vast majority of the hate and the venom and outright racism (as we’ve seen at the Munich Beer Hall Palin rallies belongs to the Red Team.

  9. thebewilderness says:

It really is stupid juvenile behavior that clearly demonstrates who among us are the “anti Americans”.
I had a bit of trouble playing the video, but it appeared as though she didn’t only vandalize the sign but added theft to the potential charges by taking it home.

  10. Randy Brown says:

If it had been MY sign, on MY property, I would NOT have been holding a camera…

And I don’t give a fuck WHAT month it happened. The pig was pure-D wrong to do that.

  11. TroyJMorris says:

I’m glad to see the cops were called.

Fat hicks. Such a shame. I’m glad to see someone get really mad instead of just play the calm role.

  12. unfortunately the gentleman doesn’t seem to be making too much of a case for himself with his language and behavior. I’d be very pissed, but calling her a stupid whore isn’t helping anything.

  13. bryan says:

I live in a (mostly) gunless society, but I think both barrels of something like beanbags or rock salt would’ve made for a better end to this film.

Feh. Got it on tape. Good enough.

  15. bryan says:

    Actually Quaker, you are right.

  16. Carlos says:

“…but I’ll have to say that the sign’s maker doesn’t come off as the most reasonable guy in the world either.”

I think getting pissed off is a pretty reasonable response to someone coming onto one’s property to destroy something that doesn’t belong to that someone.

  17. datadave says:

Man, not sure if I buy that guy’s argument…being that I’ve been hugely involved in sign-making and having a lawful incident with a sign-ripper-upper. Back in the day. The problem (speaking as a Obama supporter)…the sign is his property, but the land he posted it on wasn’t, and she has a legitimate gripe to having such a large sign in front of her home w/o permission and on a Public Right of Way. Signs on public right of ways aren’t protected. But if he’d put it on his own lot or on a property he rented or on a friend’s…he has a right to have her arrested. He kind of was a bully doing that in front of someone else’s view. She was an idiot and also a bully in not engaging civilly with the guy and letting him have a chance to photograph the sign…but if it was annoying to her she certainly has a right to remove it after he left.

from the video it was obviously a public right of way. IMO.

  18. Mungen_Cakes says:

That guy, obviously, was not a very experienced freeway blogger.

Big signs get taken down quickly. It’s par for the course.

Make a lot of signs. One doesn’t cut it.

    Brevity is desirable. Neatness counts.

Location is important. You must identify visible platforms that are difficult to get to. You have to pick spots that wingnut overweight ladies would think twice about trying to access.

Small signs sometimes have a greater impact because they remain up longer.

  19. Duros Hussein 62 says:

You must identify visible platforms that are difficult to get to.

Dude’s in a wheelchair. That pretty much includes everywhere for him.

  20. thebewilderness says:

In this state signs on public right of way are protected.

  21. Yehaw! says:

I don’t care which side your on thats funny cause they both are obviously idiots. Stoner guy and fat angry conservative. The two best stereotypes I can think of for why I hate both parties!

he shoulda told her to go be fat somewhere else.

  22. [...] is such behavior indicative of all Obama supporters? Of course not. But these morons do exist and certain people would have us believe Democrats are all about peace and love and would never stoop so low as to do [...]

  23. Zencat says:

    Well, that’s a change.
I’ve never seen anything but obama supporters destroying all the McCain signs.
Obama fans in my neck of the woods are primarily criminally bent, drug addled psychos that terrorize the good people to the point that nobody touches the obama signs around here.
It’s good to know that at least one rational person has been pushed far enough for them to lose their composure to the point where they feel they need to reciprocate and take out a single solitary obama yard sign.

Obama supporters are dangerous maniacs if their actions and activities are left alone to speak for their characters.
