They Really Are That Clueless
Tweet
National Review’s Kathryn Jean Lopez tries to compare a Palin rally with high attendance to the spectacular scene at Invesco… but even worse the Palin rally is being held in Indiana.
Look, I 100% agree with Sen. Obama that we shouldn’t be cocky and Dems can always find a way to lose these things. But there is a reason Obama/Biden have no rallies planned in Massachusetts or California.
UPDATE: 100,000 for Obama. In Missouri. (53%Bush, 46% Kerry in 2004)

On the one hand, I think it’s good that K-Lo keeps her missives short and sweet, as a courtesy to the English language and those of us who use it on a daily basis.
On the other hand,
makes no sense at all. The only exposure to Greeks that these people have encounter was fapping to 300 over and over again.
“People react to her because they believe she represents what the Greeks established.”
Buttsex?
“People react to her because they believe she represents what the Greeks established.”
Spanakopita!
I’m guessing these were the same folks who thought it was hilarious when Loretta Lynn said of Michael Dukakis, “Why, I can’t even pronounce his name!”
“300″ is popular with conservatives because you don’t have to be afraid that dead Greeks might immigrate to America.

There weren’t 100,000 people. The press obviously photoshopped the photos, you can tell by the shadows.
Ok, so if they didn’t photoshop it, I’m sure that ACORN bussed in 70,000 people from Illinois.
Ok, if they didn’t get bussed in I’m sure most of those people were from East St Louis, you know, the side that is not really American.
Anyway I’m sure that if Sarah Palin gave a speech there she’d get a crowd of 200,000 people. Srly.
“she represents what the Greeks established”
Right wingers love 300 because it depicts well toned bisexual men fighting against mindless heathens. Randy onservatives will gladly overlook the Spartans’ well documented gayness if it fits their short term goal of making Sarah Palin a viable 2012 front runner.
I, too, have been fascinated by the right’s embrace of all things greek in recent years, particularly 300.
BTW, there are estimates of nearly 150,000 people downtown Saint Louis during the time when Senator Obama spoke. The Saint Louis Police Department said there were 90,000 in the gated area and nearly 60,000 who were roaming the side streets because there wasn’t enough room at the Jefferson National Memorial (the grounds around the Gateway Arch.)
Stunning.

Yeah, it was hilarious that the same manlymen dudes at my office who ridiculed me for seeing “Brokeback Mountain” got all misty-eyed talking about “300″. “Now THAT was a great movie!” Couldn’t see the irony at all.
