SF the Plumber,

Has Biden quoted the population of Scranton on the fundamental weakness of McCain's policy proposals?

Joe the Plumber is being selectively set up as a kind of Forrest Gump of wisdom with regard to Obama's tax plan: now that Joe has said it's socialist, the folks at the Republican top feel free to say so as well and point to Joe as the common man of common sense who has recognized it.

In contrast, Biden doesn't mention Scranton's population as a source of voiced criticism of McCain's policies. Rather, he quotes their stories of hardship and MAKES THE ARGUMENT HIMSELF that McCain's policies do not assist them in that hardship.

It's a much smarter way to go, because with Joe the Plumber, anything other than a flat fee tax is "punishing success," which is "socialist." Social Security looks pretty pinko too. Really, y'all wanna adopt this guy as a spokesman for the party?

Interesting narrative I will have to give it some thought.
