I heard a rumor that he was withholding his support from McCain under the threat that if the McCain campaign used Rev. Wright he would endorse Obama. I half expect that he won’t endorse anyone until the last moment, and then it may well be McCain.
I think if McCain had wanted to win this election he would have done well to pick Powell as his running mate. Not sure if there were ever any conversations about that, perhaps Powell made it clear he wouldn’t run.
I’ll choose #4: I don’t care.
What the hell is it with people leaving it until it almost doesn’t matter to endorse? e.g. John Edwards bravely waited until Obama had won the primary before endorsing. Powell has waited until Obama has an 8 point lead with all the debates over before saying if he supports him or not…how very brave.
How about:
d. Mewl about how he didn’t have enough time to properly prepare for his U.N. presentation and complain about how damn hard it is to wash blood off of his hands.
Is he pitching a book?
E. “Wait a minute, where the heck is Tim?”
Or…
d. Says words to the effect of, “Lawrence Wilkerson does all the talking for me. I’m incapable of speaking for myself.”
Dunno bout this. Wouldn’t an endorsement of Obabma be detrimental to the career of Colin’s son Michael (Republican)? Would dad would do that?
Bust a move!

Depends on whether he puts Country First.
Word is out: Powell is not only endorsing Obama, but intends to campaign for him.
