Supreme Court Rules For Ohio Secretary Of State
Tweet
And remember, this is the conservative Roberts court.
The Supreme Court sided Friday with Ohio’s top elections official in a dispute with the state Republican Party over voter registrations.
The justices overruled a federal appeals court that had ordered Ohio’s top elections official to do more to help counties verify voter eligibility.
Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner, a Democrat, faced a deadline of Friday to set up a system to provide local officials with names of newly registered voters whose driver’s license numbers or Social Security numbers on voter registration forms don’t match records in other government databases.
Freepers react with their typical calm
If God allows this to happen, it’s going to be Smith & Wesson help us
America — and freedom — is a quaint, cute topic who’s time is passed.
Horsewhip the traitors. I guessing one Mister Kennedy was the key vote. I hope Obama gives his house to some homeless bums.
My Beretta is locked and loaded.
It is now just a matter of time! Our Country died today!
There’s a gun show in town this weekend. I’m seriuosly considering a 12 ga. pump and maybe a .45 auto
I’m thinking about a .38 special for my daughter.
I am bewildered and mad as hell that we are now witnessing the death of our REPRESENTED REPUBLIC style of government (not a shot fired) and those of whom we placed our trust (according to their oath of office) are killing it as we do nothing to stop them. God help us all.

Courts… ruling against the Republican party!
THAT’S JUDICIAL ACTIVISM!!!!!!
OW, please don’t frequent the Freeper board as representative of what Republicans think. As someone who knows and loves intelligent, informed Republicans, I find this offensive. I live with a Republican who knows that a per curiam opinion with no dissents is a fairly clear sign of a unanimous Court, and it’s really unjust to cite to a mouth-breather who says, “I guessing one Mister Kennedy was the key vote.”

Free Republic has proven for over a decade to be an accurate bellwether of what the conservative base thinks.

Better answer, OW: “Where did I say they’re representative of Republicans? I wrote that the Freepers reacted like Freepers!”
PG – you’re probably correct in that the mouth breathing Freepers may not represent what mainstream Republicans think. However it does serve a necessary function to highlight the violence and xenophobia over there, to allow us to more easily counter the frequent “Look at what some random comment on DailyKos said!” stories in very widely distributed media, from O’Reilly to Limbaugh.
I just see them as representative of what some of the 12% who still “strongly approve” of Bush think.

It’s not what all Republicans think, certainly not. However, it’s what the Republican Party caters to, and THAT’S the big issue.
Just remember, kids, according to O’RLLY, Kos is worse than Nazis or the Klan.
It may not be what Republicans think, but it sure is a good indication of who goes Palin-McCain rallies.

Just as Democratic Underground has proven to be for the liberal base.
Anger = Fear.
What are they so afraid of?
