As usually is the case, you can’t find the forest because of the trees.

What I said yesterday after Willis admitted making the standard leftist remarks about Nazi’s and conservatives is that Nazi stands for National Socialist Party, that the tactics of Hitler’s Nazi brownshirts were quite similar to both the tactics and viewpoints of current left wing activists on college campuses today. Trying to denying your political opponents an opportunity to be heard through intimidation and violence being the key similarities.

What I said today was that using a few hand selected videos and then tarring all the viewers of Fox News as morons is very similar to making ignorant assumptions about racial abilities and characteristics based on very small sets of data points.

You’re not very good with the obvious, are you AO? That was not my contention, at least not in my previous post.

My contention was that on Thursday you “ma[de] ignorant inflammatory statements about large groups of people based on assumptions resting upon very narrow anecdotal evidence,” and on Friday you boohoo’d about someone else using the very same tactic.

I’d be inclined to post Howard Stern’s interview with several Obama supporters who said they’re fine with Sarah Palin as his running mate and what were standard Republican views,

I’m sure Mr. Stern chose a representative sample of respondents for his presentation. After all, Mr. Stern is regularly cited as the gold standard of fairness and accuracy in journalism.

I agree, AO. Why just yesterday, there was some yahoo--right here on this site--who was doing exactly what you describe:

It is easy to find parallels between Hitler’s Brownshirts and the tactics routinely used by leftists on college campuses in this country today. Heckling and shouting down opposing political viewpoints were standard brownshirt tactics, little different from many of the things celebrated across American campuses and even here on this site. Compare the antisemitism of Palestinian college protesters with German sentiment in the late 30’s..

What are you going to do with someone like that?

But speaking of narrow anecdotal evidence of blatant racism, that Stern interview of “issue orientated, well informed” black voters is hilarious. Acorn’s contribution to an educated informed electorate perhaps.

I can go find a handful of Obama supporters that don’t know what they’re talking about (as you know, con media hosts do so regularly). No reason to impugn the intelligence of several million people, though.
