Is this really a sincere belief of Republicans, that the half of America that votes for Democrats really hates America? Or is this just something thrown out there to fire up the base and piss Democrats off?
[...] People are wondering if Sarah Palin was knocking places like California and Massachusetts as being anti-American when she said this: Palin also made a point of mentioning that she loved to visit the “pro-America” areas of the country, of which North Carolina is one. [...]
Oh, well, golly, that’s an easy one, sure. All along the edges, of course.
Is this really a sincere belief of Republicans, that the half of America that votes for Democrats really hates America?
Depends who you’re talking about. I suspect the percentage who actually believes this sort of thing is significantly higher in the rank-and-file voters than it is in the actual party powerful.
The Republican Congressmen and other political animals know that Democrats don’t really hate America and don’t really want terrorists to come destroy them and their families. But they also know that nothing gets the voting public riled up like giving them an old-fashioned black-hat cartoon villain to hate, hate, hate.
Globalization has made it an impossible world for a TRUE republican.
World Banks and Corporate influence have taken control of every resource known to man making the world population dependent upon them. We are now a socialist world and cutting spending here in our homeland, we will be starving our selves of basic needs.
We are in an impossible situation.
Debt is slavery folks. Our monetary system thrives on debt. Poor countries all over the world accept loans they can not pay back and that country turns over it’s natural resources to be forgiven of the debt. Will we be able to pay our massive debt to China?
Our seed for crops are being patented and sterilized so we can not be self sufficient. Our people have forgotten how to farm the land. Most people do not even own enough land to support their food needs, much less tend to farm animals etc..
You either have to accept socialism or vote to really change things, like for a third party to show you do not agree with the direction our country is going.. or go for the socialist party to go along to get along in the world as it is..If you want to survive the system as it is, vote for obama.
A McCain presidency will only make our situation worse by freezing spending inside our country and sending our tax money out of our country in the form of interest on our debt to china and Saudi Arabia. Think about all the spending going out for aid all over the world as we are losing everything. John McCain talks about eliminating earmarks, well, they are not such a bad thing as they bring jobs and money back to our states from Washington..the money is there, why not have it say in our country?
With all the job loss and all the homeless and poor in our country, and it’ growing..if you want to see your neighbors suffer more and eventually yourselves..Vote for McCain. The Republic is dead. We couldn’t keep it.
If you think socialism, redistribution of wealth, legalized racial discrimination, group rights trumping individual rights, diminished personal responsibility, trampled Constitutional rights and personal liberty, and the destruction of a meritocracy are ways of showing that you love America then Democrats love thier country as much as anyone can.
AO, in which of those specific instances do you think the Dems hold a candle to the current Republican administration?
The resting place of Joe Vogler’s rotting corpse is anti-American.
(I know – it’s in the Yukon.)
AO – show me an instance of a conservative showing personal responsibility. (Here’s a hint – you can’t.)
I predict that you as a conservative will bravely run away from your own statement, showing us to be right about you conservatives and personal responsibility yet again.
answer: The darker part
“Governor Palin, could you please tell us which parts of the country you think are anti-American?”
“Well, according to the esteemed Senator Biden, that would be the areas in which people are not paying taxes. You betcha.”
Answer: Any place I can’t see from my house …?
“We believe that the best of America is not all in Washington, D.C. We believe” — here the audience interrupted Palin with applause and cheers — “We believe that the best of America is in these small towns that we get to visit, and in these wonderful little pockets of what I call the real America, being here with all of you hard working very patriotic, um, very, um, pro-America areas of this great nation. This is where we find the kindness and the goodness and the courage of everyday Americans. Those who are running our factories and teaching our kids and growing our food and are fighting our wars for us. Those who are protecting us in uniform. Those who are protecting the virtues of freedom.”
Above is HER answer.

“We believe that the best of America is not all in Washington, D.C.
I happen to agree with that statement. And I am referring to the political class, not the private citizens who call DC home.
“Governor Palin, could you please tell us which parts of the country you think are anti-American?”
Dave in SoCal: “Well, according to the esteemed Senator Biden, that would be the areas in which people are not paying taxes. You betcha.”
And an answer like that proves you are a moron.
Seriously, take a class in logical reasoning, it would do you a world of good.
Looks like Sarah Palin took a gigantic swig of “reverse snobbery juice,” you betcha!
