The hate keeps building

The U.S. Secret Service is investigating a threatening remark directed at Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama during a political event in Scranton.

The agency followed up on a report in The Times-Tribune that a member of the crowd shouted, ‘Kill him!’ after one mention of Mr. Obama’s name during a rally Tuesday for Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin.

Every Republicans should have a “Hal Turner inside” logo like the “Intel inside”

  3. william says:

Since the left seems to keep pushing the racist garbage, it’s clear that whoever is yelling this garbage is a Kos or democrat plant.

  4. anotherbozo says:

William: Yeah, the woman who pronounced “He’s an Arab” must’ve been a “democrat[ic] plant,” right? She talked about getting a brochure from someone at Obama headquarters–wait, no, it was McCain headquarters, wasn’t it?

  5. ed says:

Right william, ’cause if we’ve learned anything about Republicans, it’s that they let just anybody attend their rallies. I guess the deafening boos which rang out when Grumpy tried to walk back the lunatics crazy talk all came from lefty plants. Just because Rove and the rest of the Republicans operate via ratfucking doesn’t mean the Reality Based Community automatically does too.

Or wait, are you an ultra-ironic fake troll? It’s hard to tell.

  6. Nimrod Gently says:

Shorter William: “It’s not fair, we’re going to lose even though everything ever is ALL YOUR FAULT.”

Wait, did you hear that? Is that a Black Helicopter?

  8. Randy Brown says:

Did Sick Sally repudiate the comment? Did she denounce and renounce?

    WELL, DID SHE??!!

Didn’t think so. And kiss mine too, Thick Willie.

  9. A.R.Yngve says:

    President Obama.
    President. Obama.
More and more I’m getting used to the idea.
    And you should, too.

    “CA-aan…you…DIG IT??!!”

  11. Dennis says:

Secret Service says “Kill him” allegation unfounded

SCRANTON – The agent in charge of the Secret Service field office in Scranton said allegations that someone yelled “kill him” when presidential hopeful Barack Obama’s name was mentioned during Tuesday’s Sarah Palin rally are unfounded.

Things are seldom as they seem. Don’t let that stop the hysterics, though.

  12. daniel rotter says:

Dennis, you conveniently didn’t excerpt the part of the story where the Scranton Times stands by its claim that the “Kill him”! outburst did, indeed, take place.

  13. Dennis says:

    daniel rotter-

African Press International stands by their Michelle Obama story too. Of course the Scranton reporter would stand by his story; what’s he going to do, say he made it up? Problem is, the Secret Service can’t find any corroborating witnesses. Odd, don’t you think, especially in a large crowd and all the attention being paid to these types of outbursts.

  14. daniel rotter says:

“…the Secret Service can’t find any corroborating witnesses.

Among the whopping 20 people, out of a “large crowd,” that the Secret Service interviewed. If there was indeed a person at this rally who yelled “Kill him!”, he/she wouldn’t have been miked.
