Today, John McCain is campaigning in North Carolina and Virginia.
That should tell you all you need to know.

Here’s one way Obama could still lose: He could change all of his TV ads into Rick Rolling.
In contrast, Obama is buying TV ads in California.
McCain has not enough time. Obama has plenty of money.
Are chess metaphors appropriate yet?

Obama is buying TV ads in California
What are you talking about? Did someone see a national ad buy on cable and make the brilliant conclusion that Obama is buying time in CA.
It tells us you couldn’t have written this post last Saturday (PA, IA). Or the day before (WI, MN). Or the day before (WI). Or the day before (PA). Or 2 days before that (NM).

Oliver,
This is from Kevin Drum:
“How big is ‘big’? Well, big enough that I’ve actually seen a few Obama ads myself. In California. I guess maybe they were national ad buys, but I don’t think so. And I can hardly remember the last time I saw a presidential campaign bothering to advertise in California. (Maybe for a few days in 2000 when Karl Rove was having delusions that Bush might win here? That’s all that comes to mind.)
“Anyway, I don’t quite know what this means, but Obama must really have money to burn if he’s buying ads here in the Golden State.”

McCain is campaigning places he shouldn’t be (either red states or states where he’s significantly behind). Obama’s campaigning in swing states. Is this something you don’t understand?
1. I’m getting a tiny sense of hostility, and I don’t care for it. We’re on the same side here.
2. Yes, I get what you meant in your original post.
3. Kevin corrected himself in his comments and said that he now thinks the ads were national buys.
4. So, to quote Emily Litella, “never mind.”
THIS should tell you all you need to know about the campaign:
McCain on the stump: “We’ve got them right where we want them.”
No kidding! He actually said it again! And he’s 10 points down! You can’t make this stuff up.
Sorry, the EXACT quote:
“My friends, we’ve got them right where we want them.”

…JUST where we want them.” Oh, well.
Funny that the same people who didn’t think McCain had a chance to come out on top in the primaries are counting him out now.
By the ‘same people’ are you referring to Giuliani?
Or maybe the gang at NRO?
