And it’s not just them. Bush hanged in effigy. Bush burned in effigy. Calls for his assassination. Fantasy films about him being shot. Randi Rhodes fantasizing about him being shot.

If Oliver hadn’t deleted that link to Michelle Malkins’ site (and I’ll respect his wishes and not re-post it here), you could see for yourself a huge list of crazed anti-Republicans and the violent, hateful crimes they’ve committed.

You seem to think you’ve made this astonishing breakthrough in finding some way to tie them to the Republican candidates, but it’s a complete and utter crock.

The site’s owner — NOT the author — has accepted full responsibility for the posting, apologized, explained in detail what happened, and deleted the original article.

Unlike, say, Kos or the Obama site, which just talks about how they’re not responsible for all the shit that happens on their site — then deletes whatever causes them too much embarrassment in hopes that everyone will just pretend it never happened.

This is the danger of having unregulated “readers’ blogs” or “diaries.” But unlike Kos and the Obama people, Rob’s being a stand-up guy, taking responsibility and action and NOT just sweeping it under the rug.
