Oh, no flak, Duros. You're not alone at all in thinking that.

There is no way anyone could beat the United States with bombs, planes or force. We're too big, too rich (yes, still) with just too strong a military.

But

Get us to destroy ourselves? Sure, the last seven years have shown how easy that is. And if things continue as they have (thankfully, Obama should win and with all that brings we'll have a decent chance to get back on a more correct path) it won't be long before we look around and what we see won't be "America" anymore.

And I've wandered many times during the last seven years if that isn't just what bin Laden had in mind.

You know, I really hate to say this, and I'm sure I'll catch flak for it, but it looks to me like we did to ourselves what bin Laden couldn't do with planes and box cutters.

dang HTML

Bush: “You know, I just don’t spend that much time on [bin Laden], Kelly, to be honest with you. I’m more worried about making sure that our soldiers are well-supplied; that the strategy is clear; that the coalition is strong;”

The economy is McCain’s bin Laden. He doesn’t spend that much time on it, to be honest. He’s more worried about making sure the banks are well-supplied; that the fundamentals are strong.
