Wade Williams: The Base?

Well golly gee gosh heck darn.
Angered by a delay in the receipt of his voter registration card, a Louisiana man today threatened to shoot election officials, claiming that he urgently needed to cast a ballot to “keep the nigger out of office,” according to police. Wade Williams, 75, was arrested this morning on a felony terrorizing charge after allegedly calling the Registrar of Voters and warning that he would come to the state office and empty his shotgun unless he got his registration card.

Stupid is as stupid does. He got in the news and will probably only get a fine and probation… if that.
Hugh Hewitt’s stunt double
Exhibit A for the patent inferiority of the so-called Caucasian race. Mind you, I don’t buy the racist theories either way of course, but I will always “take irony for $1000, Alex.”
I envision this dude as a lawn jockey for Louis Farrakhan, somehow.
Molly Ivins said it seemed like every time Texans were on the verge of convincing the rest of the country we’re not all a bunch of mouth breathing yahoos, another mouth breathing yahoo comes along. I grew up in Lousiana and know kooks like this are out there (and not just in the South).
We’ve made a lot of progress, but this gives the lie to claims that racism is past. But don’t paint with too broad a brush. I think most of “the base” is just as repulsed by this guy as the rest of us.
Hick – However, what you and what the GOP consider “the base” may be different things.
And seriously, can we find some way to retire the phrase “the base” from our political vernacular? It’s creepy. Does the Republican voter even know that “the base” in Arabic is “al-Qaeda”?
Simple solution:
#1- Search his house/car/property & confiscate any fire arms.
#2- On election day, lock up the cracker so he can’t vote!
Does the Republican voter even know that “the base” in Arabic is “al-Qaeda”?
Is it really? Did not know that.
Good to know.
If he’d done this before the convention the GOP would probably had him keynote. Hate is a Republican value, just like dishonesty and greed.
