Take The Fight To Them

('DiggThis’)

Robert Gibbs of the Obama campaign makes the goobers on Fox & Friends apoplectic on the bracelet issue because a Dem refuses to accept their right-wing blog framing of the issue.

If/when Obama is elected, Fox News is going to be opposition central, so think of this as sort of a preview in addition to the slam pieces the NY Post (another wing of the Murdoch empire) is pushing today.

  1. Dennis says:

Obama will do to Fox and Murdoch and Limbaugh and the FReepers what his Truth Squads are now doing to anyone in opposition to him in Missouri.

No one here should be the least bit concerned about this act of thuggery at all.

  2. Rheinhard says:

My response: Good. About goddam time.

Dennis – if you’re kicking your opponent, and not wearing steel-toed boots, YOU’RE DOING IT WRONG.

… and remind me again, exactly how many articles have those stauch defenders of the Constitution over at Nationl Review excoriating Bush and Cheney for their penchant for corralling protestors at official presidential speeches in fenced-in “free speech zones” miles away from the event?

  3. mambochicken23 says:

    Dennis,

Perhaps if the right wing didn’t lie at every fucking opportunity about Barack Obama, he wouldn’t require these “Truth Squads” to set the fucking record straight. Seriously, when the right continues to spout bullshit like “OMG Obama is a Muslim” or “He’s plans to raise taxes on the middle class” or “Obama drinks the blood of newborn puppies!”, they have no right to bitch when Obama targets them for their bullshittery. It’s not simply a matter of these cons “disagreeing” with Obama, it’s about being honest in their attacks. Which the right infrequently is.

What’s the matter? Can’t handle a Democrat fighting back against your morally bankrupt tactics?

    Fuck off.

Goddamn right, Rheinhard. The blatant hypocrisy is amazing.

  5. Parthenon says:

Dennis, you can’t have the all-star liar team and then complain when a democrat puts together an all-star stop-the-lies team. You just can’t. You should just be saying ‘at last, a worthy opponent!’

  6. Dennis says:

    Mambo-

I guess to you, everything you’ve ever heard or read about Sarah Palin is entirely true. I don’t read where she’s employing truth squads to prosecute dissent against her.

Blatant hypocrisy is the cheering on the hysterics of the left for the last 8 years, then using what you falsely accuse the Bush Administration of to justify jackboot actions by Obama.

  7. Enlightened Liberal says:

    From Dennis’ own link:

“While the report never quite comes out and says that anyone running an ad saying those things would be subject to prosecution, that certainly is the message implied. ”

You say it’s hell. I say it’s truth and you just think it’s hell. So in the future STFU until you’re ready to sit at the adult table and take your NRO nonsense to Freeperville.

  8. Dennis says:

Enlightened Liberal, again, you are neither.

If McCain had done anything remotely close to this it would be all over the liberal blogs, including most certainly this one, the subject of a KO Special Comment, and front page news in the NY TImes, WaPo and the LA Times. It’s what you guys do.

When Obama does it, all you ‘Get in their faces’ goons tell everyone to just “STFU!’ and ‘Fuck off!’.

  9. mambochicken23 says:

    1. Who brought Palin into this?
    2. When did I ever say I believed everything I read about Palin?
    3. Where did I write that Palin would be wrong to employ “truth squads” to set the record straight if Dems were lying about her?

There’s no evidence to show that the Obama camp is trying to get anyone prosecuted. I don’t see anything wrong with the campaign saying, “Fuck this. We aren’t going to just tolerate the lies.”

Again, it’s not about disagreeing with Obama, it’s about the dishonesty. Quit lying and those truth squads will cease to have a function.

    You’re an idiot.

  10. Sean D. Martin says:

Dennis: Obama will do to Fox and Murdoch and Limbaugh and the FReepers what his Truth Squads are now doing to anyone in opposition to him in Missouri.

Wait a sec. Clarify for me. Is you objection to what the “Truth Squads” are saying, or to their existing at all?

‘Cause so far I haven’t seen you objecting to what they are saying.

  11. Duros Hussein 62 says:

Who was it that said: “If the republicans would stop lying about the Democrats, the Democrats will stop telling the truth about republicans.”?

  12. Steve LaBonne says:

“I never give them hell. I just tell the truth and they think it’s hell.” -Harry S Truman

  13. Nimrod Gently says:

Shorter Dennis: “All this was funny until he did the same thing to me.”

  14. Dennis says:

Shorter Dennis: “All this was funny until he did the same thing to me.”
    Nimrod

Shorter Nimrod: “We were against silencing dissension before we were for it, so it’s all good now.”

  15. PD100 says:

“We were against silencing dissension before we were for it, so it’s all good now.”

Calling someone out on their bullshit is not “silencing dissension”. Try Red State or The Free Republic if you’re still incapable of making the distinction. They don’t notice over there.

  16. Bruce Henry says:

That’s “dissent”, not “dissension”, you dumbass.

  17. Nimrod Gently says:

Shorter Dennis: “WAAAAAAAAAA STOP PICKING ON ME”

  18. Dennis says:

Dissent, I stand corrected. Thank you, Bruce Henry.

Add two more to the ‘Get in their faces’ goons’ list of standard replies:

    1) STFU -Enlightened Liberal

    2) Fuck off -Mambo Chicken23

    3) You’re an idiot -Mambo Chicken again

    4) You dumbass -Bruce Henry

  19. Nimrod Gently says:

Here’s another one for your list: you’re an auto-fellating coprophage.

Are you genuinely eight years old?

  20. mambochicken23 says:

So, Dennis, care to explain why I’m wrong? No? You admit that you’re 100% full of shit, totally wrong about this issue? Well, that’s big of you. Good for you, takes a principled, strong man to admit when he’s FULL OF BULLSHIT. Thanks for that.

  21. mambochicken23 says:

BTW, on a serious note… I really like the fact that you can’t respond to the substance of my post, and instead focus on me telling you that you’re an idiot, and to fuck off.

Frankly, if you actually believe the nonsense that you’re spouting off here… you ARE and idiot, and you SHOULD fuck off.

  22. I don’t read where she’s employing truth squads to prosecute dissent against her.

McCain Campaign Deploys ‘Palin Truth Squad’

John McCain’s campaign on Tuesday unveiled a new squadron of politicians whose duty will be to battle perceptions that are quickly forming about the Republican party’s vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, the governor of Alaska.

  23. Dennis says:

There are truth squads and then there are truth squads, Oliver. McCain is employing a squadron of politicians to dispel untrue rumors about Sarah Palin, of which there are many. The Obama campaign is asking law enforcement, prosecutors and sheriffs, to target anyone who ‘lies’ or runs misleading TV ads during the presidential campaign.

You be the judge of which of these is the more severe method of getting out the truth.

Maybe this is just me, but I’m going to guess that prosecutors and sheriffs’ ideas of what me considered a lie and what they might do about it might be a just a little more intimidating than what a politician might do about the same thing.

  24. Sean D. Martin says:

Dennis: There are truth squads and then there are truth squads

    Translation: IOKIYAR

  25. Duros Hussein 62 says:

The Obama campaign is asking law enforcement, prosecutors and sheriffs, to target anyone who ‘lies’ or runs misleading TV ads during the presidential campaign.

Give me a break. You’re gonna have to do better than that piece from NRo that they got from someone else who knows a guy who heard it in a bar somewhere.

Yeah, that’s right. I’m callin’ bullshit.

  26. Quaker in a Basement says:

The Obama campaign is asking law enforcement, prosecutors and sheriffs, to target anyone who ‘lies’ or runs misleading TV ads breaks the law during the presidential campaign.

You remember “rule of law,” don’t you?

  27. C.S.Strowbridge says:

“Add two more to the ‘Get in their faces’ goons’ list of standard replies:”

And you are all of the above, Dennis. More importantly, you are factually wrong.

    So you can fuck off.

I know you are pissed off the party you follow is run by losers, but that’s your fault, not ours.

So kindly go fuck yourself and deal with your self-hate on your own time.

  28. Quaker in a Basement says:

“Add two more to the ‘Get in their faces’ goons’ list of standard replies:”

Here’s another one for your list:

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  29. Dennis says:

For Quaker with Cheetos in his Mom’s Basement-

    1) STFU -Enlightened Liberal

    2) Fuck off -Mambo Chicken23

    3) You’re an idiot -Mambo Chicken again

    4) You dumbass -Bruce Henry

    5) Auto-fellating coprophage -Nimrod Gently

    6) FULL OF BULLSHIT – mambochicken23 (again, so congrats)

    7) The obligatory and totally irrelevant tu quoque -Oliver Willis (w/link!)
    8) The equally obligatory IOKIYAR. This one is a must. -Sean D. Martin

    9) NRO? Pffft You can do better than that. (another must) -Duros Hussein

    10) Self-hater (required) -CS Strowbridge

    11) HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! -The very original Quaker in a Basement

Orwell and Hitler references still outstanding.

  30. mambochicken23 says:

Do you have a point, Dennis? No?

    OK then.

  31. Nimrod Gently says:

I was joking. Here’s a real insult: you are a big mewling baby, a bully who can’t cope when he’s bullied back, a Webster’s entry on petulance. Also, you fight like a cow.

And you know something? IOKIYAR is common for a reason. You might want to look into that.

  32. C.S.Strowbridge says:

Hey Dennis, will you inform us when you are no longer trolling and want to address the point raised?

    Thanks.

  33. mambochicken23 says:

    *crickets*

    *tumbleweeds*

Dennis, you’ve proven yourself to be much like your preferred candidate. You decrepit monkey skeleton.

  34. ABlownGoat says:

HEY! Don’t make fun of Dennis! He is a very nice person. Mickey Kauss taught Dennis everything he knows.
