For Ms Parker to refer to Palin – in any context – as a “feminist” is an appalling distortion. Any woman who would support giving their daughters the “choice” of a coat hanger or a doctor – and chooses the coat hanger – THAT woman is NOT a feminist.

Christians the world over – with the exception of the US – KNOW that gay issues and reproductive issues are PERSONAL CHOICE issues NOT SOCIETY issues. Any Christian that allows 43 million children to NOT HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE but then screams about gays and abortion PROVES they are totally OUT OF TOUCH with what SOCIETY MEANS.

Every country in the FREE world – except ours – believes we ARE our brothers’ keeper.

Perhaps her kid will have ‘health problems’ and she will be forced to give up politics to ‘spend more time with her family.’

However, I don’t think this is likely. After all, for Republicans it is better to be Strong and Wrong than to admit a mistake and try and fix it.

My guess is that in a few days we may see Palin as another McCain stunt that failed.

Even the columnist is right (and it looks to me as though she is), Sen. McCain won’t dump her. It’s like turning in all your pieces in scrabble – feels like a good fresh start for a minute, but it’s pretty much an acknowledgement you’ve got almost no chance.
