Obama should hand McCain a pacifier
hee hee!
He should say to McCain;
“Say John, I just got a message from Sarah – she wants me to pass it onto you, it says; “John, the fog has lifted here in Washington and guess what? I can see the Russian Embassy from right here in the padded room at the hotel you put me in – how COOL is that!”
Obama should hand McCain a pacifier.
And a blanket. Did McCain get his nap today?
I liked Letterman’s “Need a ride to the airport?”
Or is that too harsh to open a debate with?
Will McCain even make it through the entire debate? He might have some sort of bowelular irregularity that requires a recess.
Matt, you can’t imagine the SNL skit running through my head right now.
Well, maybe you can.
Odd thought
Does little Johnny ‘I’m not getting enough attention’ Mac’s stunt make him the T.O of politics?
Any bets on him pulling a sharpie and tagging the podium?
mawado
PS – On reflection, probably not, T.O. has success before he makes an ass of himself
“Thank you for joining us, John.”
Simple. Casual. Could be inserted anywhere in the opening remarks. Everyone gets the picture without having it rubbed in.
Sheesh. I love Obama, but I hope he does well enough tonight to stop all the armchair quarterbacking.
I was just thinking. If Obama really is “The One”(as the dumbass Republicans try to claim), who is Morpheus? Tom Daschle certainly doesn’t fit the bill.
That’s a good line, and I think Barack should emit that subtext in a subtle way. But primarily, I think he should just debate. If he tries some scripted jab and it fails, McCain’s right back up off the mat. But I think McCain will be the one flailing with scripted lines while Barack does what Barack does. Answer questions in a competent, reassuring manner.
If you followed the RNC debates, McCain always tried to pigeonhole in zingers that generally fell flat.
I do hope that McCain brings up his pledge to suspend his campaign until “this crisis is resovled.” That was some seagull management at its finest–he flew in, made a lot of noise, and crapped all over everything.
