Yeah, in Jamaica you mostly hear steel drums in tourist areas where people expect to hear them. In the rest of the country I think you’re far more likely to hear reggae or soca.

My sister lived in Bermuda for 3 years. I never heard a steel drum while I when visiting. Who cares, I guess. Just saying.

I disagree with you, which is rare.

This ad is awesome, and I would love more like it. It’s Eight (houses) Is Enough meets Weekend with Bernie, except that Bernie is a sleazy lobbyist. It’s humorous and successfully paints McCain as a rich corrupt jetsetter politician merely by pointing out the simple truth of his dealings. I would especially keep that mellow beach resort steal drum jam.

I think “Girls Gone Wild” has effectively killed any ability to use steel drum music in any advertisement ever again.
